  • I found capsules to be an absolute pain to load on the account of shaky hands. If you’re using capsules on a stem loaded vaporiser you have to try it with MAD Heaters Reload or one if it’s many recent clones (like 420vape Stash Tube in Europe or Sneaky Pete Travel Storage Debowler in US). This way you can load the stem directly by pushing and twisting into weed stored in one of two containers (middle/bottom). Once you’re done vaping you drop AVB into top container that has a debowler inside. It’s a game changer even if you don’t use it with butane vape.

  • I keep up to date but avoid images because at this point it’s just outrage porn driven by social media algorithms. I’m increasingly convinced homo sapiens are going to cause another mega extinction event within our lifetime. There’s so much suffering and atrocities all over the world currently that it’s hard not to detach from just one more horrific event because it’s not going to matter in the end.

  • It’s way too easy to vape lots of weed with TM2. You can pop in as much weed as you want into the stem / WPA adapter like t_bowl (since they’re adjustable) and extract everything in one go. It makes things extremely efficient but if you’re able to vape 0.5g at once it gets a bit too tempting sometimes.

  • From Nintendo’s point of view hacked device is a hacked device. Whether you use it to pirate or hack in multiplayer, they don’t really care, you’re not supposed to do either and they take that device off their network. I usually pay for games because second hand market exists but I also won’t condemn piracy because some can’t afford even that. It’s the expectation that a company like Nintendo has to take it under the guise of consumer protection that I find funny, bad political takes too.

  • You can still play your Switch games online after getting banned using LDN bridges. The best way to avoid getting banned from a Nintendo service is not to hack your device.

  • Say you get VAC banned, your entire library can’t play VAC multiplayer games. If you hacked in Splatoon you buy a new Switch but your library is retained.

  • They are denying you access to the service rather than your hardware. I prefer how Nintendo goes about it (locking hacked device) compared to Valve or Sony where your entire game library gets locked. As someone with a banned Switch I think that’s fair, I can pirate things on it anyway. Nobody said piracy has to be easy and I enjoy a bit of cat and mouse.

  • Went from Pax 3 to TinyMight 2 which was just too much of a good thing so I sold it. These days I use manual vapes because they offer small chamber size and require a bit of a ritual to get going. Tempest and Dani Fusion 2 offer all kinds of experiences I like and The Wand makes them very consistent in results. I succumbed to VAS again though and Tempest 2 is on the way.

  • This seems like it would work but I refuse to add more noise pollution to account for breaking the law. Introducing hazards to race tracks is more enjoyable (and very effective, racers rarely want to clean up hazards from the race track because it would mean they’re thinking of someone else). If the police ever gets interested enough to look for the source of hazard their presence should prevent races from taking place too.

  • It’s not the constant background noise/hum that gets me but the occasional car/bike zooming through the streets to the point where things start to vibrate while also sounding like the most annoying mosquito. Even though I’m almost 40 I can still hear very high frequency sounds (like those devices to scare away animals) and fast vehicles seem to go into similar register. ANC headphones don’t block it well either since they’re tuned for low frequency sounds.

  • My hearing is very sensitive. Over the past couple of years there has been a significant increase of number of motorcycles and street racing in my country. Loads of vehicles are illegally tuned exceed permissible noise pollution norms. Police does fuck all about it. It’s summer so I have to keep windows open at night to cool down my flat. I can’t sleep with ear plugs because they bother me too much. I barely sleep.

When I was being assessed for autism I elaborated on my interests, also revolving around electronics (like retro computing, gaming, programming, automation, open source etc). My assessment came back stating „X’s special interest is electronics.” - it felt so reductive that I almost felt insulted.

  • Summer + autism + SNRI for fibro. I’m at risk of drowning in sweat, please send help.

  • Apologies for my scatterbrain. In that case I’d go with BotW because it’s shorter/focused (others will say it’s too minimalist) and you’ll get to experience a modern Zelda game. Also, if you don’t own Switch 2 it runs good enough while TotK was just a bit too much for Switch 1.
