  • That’s my sentiment as well. I take everything I read with a grain of salt, so should everyone else. I come to comment sections for entertainment, not facts.

  • I lie on the internet fairly regularly as weird precaution to make myself less identifiable. I don’t want any of my accounts to link to eachother, let alone back to me

  • shitifacation

The term is enshittification, penned by Cory Doctorow

Shitifacation was my last international holiday where the airline lost my luggage

  • I was hoping for one more season as well, I was excited to see more of Catherine without Peter. But Nicholas Hoult's departure would have been a tougher watch, so it makes sense.

  • when is Bear going to tell people he met Maximus? beyond alora cheese and WJ. he told everyone he met deer lady, but didn't bother to say anything about a person from Okern that believes in aliens?

  • are you saying its transactional then? like a social contract of "it's my birthday, so I'm paying for my guests food and drink." You, my guest, have accepted that contract by bringing a gift?

This flies in the face of birthdays I'm used to. There's no expectation that If I invite someone to my birthday that a) they need to give me a gift (I would never expect that) or b) I'm paying for their food and drink. I guess because that social contract isn't in place, the idea that someone can come over and say happy birthday isn't a big deal. It's just a gathering that happens to be on my birthday.

  • This is an awesome visualisation, but the subtitle is the best part

    aka "THE WHO'S FUCKING WHO"

  • I actually likely would have bought this if it had bluetooth. remote play on my laptop is cumbersome if im sitting on the couch, but if I can't use my airpods then I'm out. i've got some sennheisers I could use with the 3.5mm jack but over ear headphones get uncomfortable quickly to me.

  • I feel like the phrase “never before seen” is kinda rich for a film that’s still in cinemas. It holds weight when it’s a decades old film, but for most of the world all of the footage in the film is never before seen.

  • Depends on how you define work. I do my dayjob for maybe 2 hours a day at most and then freelance with the rest of my working day. so I'd average 5 hours of work a day betwen the two jobs.

  • can also look into haugene/docker-transmission-openvpn

it's transmission that won't run unless it's connected to the VPN

  • In one unit? Or between a few? I have 48TB in one and 25TB in another

  • playing the game is a necessary function of corporate work, otherwise it will chew you up and spit you out. you can have autonomy if you've made the right people happy, the rest can get fucked.

  • my mortgage begs to differ.

  • 1TB SSD computer, 47TB HDD NAS

  • well with premiumize it's even better :) they cache usenet and DDL links too. I've had way more success with obscure titles on there than i did with realdebrid

  • As for remote access, I have a separate machine running alpine with wireguard in a docker container, I VPN into that machine to get access to other devices in the network

This is smart, I should do that. I just run Tailscale on my NAS, but I do sometimes worry about it

  • Watch new/untested content on debrid. Hoard content you love (physical or digital).
