  • Ah, yeah, that makes sense. Especially when Nintendo seems to be creating scarcity by doing limited releases and such.

Thank you for explaining it! Even OP didn't want to type it out, lol

  • In addition to what others have said, I can read much faster than most people can speak. And I can't really skim a video that's a monologue the way I could skim a post.

Especially when it's a video that has a point advertised in the post title.

I unsubbed from the Videos community for a reason! Haha

  • When did you see the most activity here?

  • Why is it? It's a video instead of text, and the video doesn't even have subtitles

  • Disc Golf

  • Call them to say I found a better job.

No, I don't show up. Just call at the exact time the interview starts.

  • If that were enough, I imagine somebody would've done it already

  • I wonder what other artefacts like that we have.

I'm sure some streamers use "Tune in", which refers to radio dialing.

"Dashboard" means a whole lot of things, but originally meant a board on a carriage that prevents mud from being "dashed" up to the passengers by horses (I think).

Uh..."meal" is literally a kind of grain that most people probably don't eat regularly at all, let alone 3x a day.

  • I dunno, wikipedia has different pages for Libertarianism and Conservatism

  • I think the problem with Libertarianism is that they can't get a big enough group for it to fail tragically.

... because a big group is kind of antithetical to libertarianism.

Also, fascism is completely different from libertarianism.

Some people claim to be libertarian, but actually want "fascism for you, libertarianism for me", which is really just fascism. No need to conflate the two unnecessarily.

  • Does anyone else

    Yes

  • I imagine it's kind of like Libertarianism in that every time it's attempted in the real world, it fails horribly.

Except in Libertarianism, it fails embarrassingly. In Communism, it fails tragically.

  • I was about to say that garage doesn't have the wrong "g" for GIF, but then I realized that some people might be ending "Garage" with an actual "j" sound

  • Given that they're using stack overflow, I'm guessing they also have "professionals who have more time than work to do at work"

  • My proposal is to just make them all "fall backs".

Yeah, AM/PM will get inverted after a few years, but imho, that's a small price to pay in exchange for an extra hour of sleep twice a year

  • I heard that some places just pay out the "spring forward" hour as a good gesture

  • I find that Ctrl+F doesn't work so well on paper
