  • I mean that’s just how consoles are, except Valve does let you just use it as a normal pc so you can use other stores if you want to. Still an advantage to them

  • Once again Valve proves they actually understand what people want; a relatively cheap and effective system that lets people play the games they want to play

  • WHY ARE THEY NOT PRICE GOUGING THEIR NEIGHBORS

  • I mean the problem with any projection of earth onto a 2d simplified shape surface is that it will be inherently distorted. The Mercator projection is scaled properly towards the equator but has to scale upwards more and more toward the poles to be able to fit the given area.

Even their own map, which for some reason isn’t shown in either the video or on the main page, isn’t accurate either. It’s better but is also warped in its own way, it would be nice if they had a little blurb that says something to that effect.

Here’s the actual map projection they are pushing for; https://equal-earth.com/equal-earth-projection.html

  • A lot of teachers are really underpaid and have a lot of students to worry about. And that’s on top of parents wanting to meddle in their kids education and schools trying to cram more into the same amount of time. So it’s not always possible for teachers to be able to teach everything they need to, let alone other useful things to know.

And well what I said in my original comment about people just expecting others to know things without bothering to teach them. Years ago I was expected to know how to sign my name in cursive when the school district that I was in cut cursive when I was in kindergarten. Thankfully I had a teacher who actually taught me how to later on but otherwise I wouldn’t have known.

  • A headmate is another person who I share my body with, having multiple people in one body is called plurality.

  • Part of the problem there is that we don’t teach people how to actually use computers, we teach how to use specific programs instead usually.

A few months back I saw a post somewhere about how “kids these days don’t know how to read an analog clock”. And it’s the exact same thing, you have to teach people how to use them. You don’t just innately know how to use these things we created.

  • Gooners, some gooners generate a lot of slop

  • Forcibly feminizing the ai, one pair of thigh highs at a time

  • Way ahead of you, finding the most unhinged headmate to post a bunch of slop

  • Okay here’s some advice from a lesbian.

First, drop the word “female”, we are people not animals.

Second, money doesn’t matter to a lot of people, some women want their partner to provide for them, many do not want that. Women had to fight extremely hard to be able to work jobs, have bank accounts and have access to credit and debit cards. Financial independence can be an extremely big deal to people.

Third, try to not be super picky with who you want as a partner. It’s a bit of cliché advice but it’s one that is important to remember. Not every women is a super model, nor does everyone have the hourglass figure. Be okay with them not being perfect and try to accept them for who they are.

Fourth, really need to emphasize this here but be accepting of quirks and flaws. While this is very similar to the third thing, it is a bit different. Quite a few people who have flirted with me have had quite gross reactions to my quirks and flaws and it’s a big red flag.

Fifth, be patient with yourself. Make sure you are actually in a proper place mentally before tackling a relationship. A quick look through you post history shows you have some issues you are working on and I’d make sure you have them under good control.

Sixth, like others have said but work on getting good, healthy, stable friendships first. Friends can introduce you to people and who knows if you hit it off with them.

Seventh, don’t expect sex early on or at all. Some people love sex, others can be apathetic towards it and others can be adverse to it. If you aren’t sexually compatible that’s fine just be open about it and be willing to move on if sex matters a lot to you.

  • Had to look up what that even was and no way am I paying $108 a year plus tax (just include the tax in the price ffs) for a search engine

  • Yeah no shit AAA games are $80 going forward, games from the past few years are $70 if AAA. $60 was the sweet spot for AAA games but then the greedy companies began littering paid games with macro transactions.

Indie is the way forward for gaming, the prices are actually fair and the devs are willing to support them far past when AAA companies will. That and modding for games has only been getting better and better. Last year we basically got a brand new Fallout game from modders, meanwhile Bugthesda can barely wipe their own ass.

  • Not surprised, they want us dead

  • I’ve never thought of anyone supporting LLMs in any sort of positive light. The ethical questions behind the creation of the largest models alone should have been enough to kill the tech in the first place. Let alone the insane environmental impacts and how this tech has undo any slight progress we have made in slowing climate change.

We are so fucked as a society if we continue letting corporations run wild and unchecked like this for any longer.

  • Okay so now Epic is getting 0% on 0 sales rather than 12% on zero sales.

Just challenge Steam with better buyer protections and you will actually make proper check out your store. Cause we know after years of your service trying to attract AAA publishers that no Steam users swapped over.
