  • Shrimp went in the layers, not on top. Top was extra sauce and a ton of cheese added halfway through baking.

  • Used a white sauce instead of red. A beschemal with shredded Parmesan. Then layered everything together and bake, top with mozzarella, shredded crab, and more Parm and sauce. So freaking yummy.

  • I started screening my phone calls.

  • I loved it, but not the last season and how it ended.

  • Most of the junk for it push the Jack/Sally ship, there is so much fan art of it, it's rather insane.

  • I don't hate it, but I can't understand the wider appeal of it, Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't understand why people think the Jack and Sally relationship is so great. She pines away and he's to self absorbed to even notice that she is a girl. And there are people who to this day still make it their entire personality. It is a decent movie, and I like the music, but it's not that great.

  • My opinion on tech is that there are cool things being done that do one shiney thing, but everyone disregards the shit it produces behind the scenes. Blookchain is an awesome concept, the whole chain depends on all the other parts of it, but the fact that in order to use it, you have to download the whole thing in several systems. The size of a single will grow so large, only a few companies will be able to analyze it at scale. And AI is a huge joke. Nobody should be celebrating generative AI. A ton of computing power that is dangerous to our eco system, and it's all trained on shady material. Nobody is doing anything significant about the power consumption, just coming up with agencies to help companies use AI properly. It's all a joke. Most of our most influencial technologies are just someone asking how to make big bucks off something comes else created for free.

  • AI should be used as a recommendation, not an absolute answer.

  • Replace half your milk with buttermilk and watch then grow super fluffy in the pan. And a nice flavor as well.

  • For all these responses, it's not just pasta sauce or pancake mixes. And yes, the she does let me doctor things up sometimes. It just gets irritating when I make a sauce, it's delicious, and then she buys a jar version because "you like this kind of sauce". I found a great soup recipe I want to try, ask for specific ingredients and she just buys the canned version of the soup. I've talked with her before about it when she brought home a cookie mix. I used to make homemade cookies when I was depressed, and it would cheer me up. She suggested I make the mix, all I had to do was add some eggs and water, and we can have the cookies. I had to tell her it wasn't the cookies that made me feel better.

  • Nostalgia for what her mother used to make.

  • The pancake mix was a particularly stupid argument in my opinion. She said that's what her mom always made and she likes it. It's hard to argue against it since her mom has been passed for about 15 years now. She tried to pull nostalgia on me, and I don't have nostalgia for food.

  • Sometimes, leftovers don't reheat the same way.

  • She will insist on the mixes.

  • Not looking for smut to read, just looking to see how often open tries actually happen.

  • I would like to explain that I'm not looking for dirty stories and such. I have been exploring the more extreme tropes in porn to see if they happen IRL or not. Probably should have explained better, but there it is. There are some ideas used that are rather extreme, and I start wondering how much it actually happens.

  • More than two people in bed.

  • I'm going back to video games that had multiplayer before we had network connectivity. If I wanted to play against a friend, we would have to get together in person and hang out. Game was done, you had a friend over for dinner. Or just a friend to come over and help you with the game. I miss when games were actual social events.

  • Thank you for your service and here are your awards and medals. Your family will thank you even more when you die and they hawk your medals at my pawn shop for a few extra bucks of inheritance.

My father in law used to run flea markets on the side. Used to say that in the service he worked hard as hell and never got a medal of honor, but working the flea markets he had a jar full of them. Nobody gives a shit about service.
