  • You misspelled 'we' and therefore you're A.I. You must be banned too. /s

  • Which are easy to spot and I get that.

But not everyone is like that and it is quite dumb to assume everyone is like that like I have seen others do. Someone some other person doesn't like, then they just say "oh that's a bot, um, ban them because their account is new."

You saw this shit all the time on Reddit. I mean the behavior can be noticeable from a user who just joined and wants to contribute and talk to those just coming back to repeat everything that got them removed in the first place.

  • 4K is just another dumb marketing jargon to make people think something is better than what we currently have.

I always bring up the argument of transitioning from VHS to DVD, there were vast improvements there in terms of quality. DVD is still around, why? Because it just does good enough and that's what all anyone can ask for. Blu-Ray is incredibly old now and eventually will take DVD's spot someday as the 'good enough' standard because really streaming is dependent on internet connection speed which can vary the quality which exits itself out of the argument.

And with every gaming generation that comes and goes, it has become harder and harder to notice any groundbreaking differences. It began to get harder when we went from PS3 - PS4 for example. It is now all about just resolutions and nothing else.

  • It has to be $400 or $500. If they, Valve, really think they're sitting on a $800 or even a $1,000 machine then they're lying to themselves.

  • So the engineer state that it can run 'all games of the market'. Okay, cool, but at what kind of settings?

Like, it undermines the expectations of what one has when it comes to approaching the idea of having a PC to run games they want to see run flawlessly. I have been there before where I was not satisfied running games at Medium, hell, I wasn't satisfied when I ran some games at even High. My targeted goal of building a machine, is if it can run at least 90% of games that I throw at it, with optimum performance. Suffice to say, I think I've achieved that.

If someone gets a Steam Machine and find that it cannot run that particular game someone buys the Steam Machine for at their preference, you're going to see refunds flying around.

The Steam Machine development should've never went in with the concept of "just run games", they should've went in with the concept of "run games and run them well".

  • College only seems that way for those with indecisive minds that have no clear planning of their future.

  • "hey this is my work, what's it doing here"

Uh so other people can discover your work which therefor, should be an inspiration for you as an artist, to keep going? Duh. Would you have rather it be lost to the sands of time and nobody to know you and what you done so you can be a nobody?

I mean in the past when torrenting was new and very white hot, some artists actually torrented their works and got discovered that way. It was a badge of honor.

  • There's even politically-related and news-related posts there too!

Some people just simply don't care and refuse to actually read that they just contaminate instances with unrelated posts.

  • I remember having made 3 reports of some news-related articles that got posted here on another account because they didn't belong.

And guess what? Those reports were shot down and the posts remained. So some mod here seems to believe that it's okay to try and turn this instance into yet another news-related outlet, not like we have several dozen of them already.

  • TikTok has quickly earned a negative reputation to the things you've already listed off as having manufactured narratives. That platform alone has bred generations of people now who possess attention spans like a fly and believe nearly anything that's on it like gospel.

The sooner you're off it, the better.

  • Know your worth. Sounds like you did that, good.

  • That's what I do with my job. PPTO, PTO and even a points-system exist primarily for when you want or need time off. I use it all the time. Sure, it'd be nice and awesome to save up the PTO and get that nice juicy bonus after a year (applicable with where I work). However, sometimes, the job itself doesn't encourage you to be at your best at all times, it can be a grind and vice versa.

Fuck anyone who frowns on those that prioritize work/life balances. Because it's clear as day, what working hard and selfless for the sake of the company does for you when you get fucked over anyways.

  • I think ranking algorithms are a disease of social media. I prefer none of them because all they do is just yank you around.

  • They can do that but I'm sure there are workarounds. I just briefly did a google search on 'Windows activation workarounds' and I already see some methods and people talking of them.

So again, Microsoft can fuck themselves.

  • Eh he's 93, he'll rest in piss anytime now.

  • Dude, I've found car drivers far more aggravating than bicyclists. The most a bicyclist has ever annoyed me is when they don't make their presence known enough. I just happen to sometimes, find them near seconds of almost hitting them and I hate that. When I rode bikes, I tried having devices or things that make my bike have features a car would, even turn signaling.

But drivers? The level of entitlement and selfishness of a driver is off the charts.

  • I end up sometimes giving up on having the thing. Because sometimes it's an effect of just feeling personal greed.

But I will almost never give in and pay for the thing. Some things out there, aren't worth the price and even if the price was right, it's not worth the support.

Like Microsoft, I've not paid for a single Windows OS in my entire life. I've always gotten Windows second hand or buying machines off from people who happen to have the latest Windows on it.

Adobe, haven't paid a single penny for their Photoshop program, kept pirating.

Part of pirating is just wheeling and patience. You will eventually, one day, get what you seek.

  • I see it as 25/75.

25% you can say that the reason capitalism is getting away with more than it should, is because consumers are buying at the ridiculous prices.

75% though, is capitalism deceiving and scheming the ways possible to get people to bite.

  • Ha! I'm good until 2032 so fuck you, Microsoft!
