  • I have two great Danes and this is what it often feels like to cook with them around. Adorable, but my God the chaos...

  • I tried it a while back and struggled to get into it. I wondered since if it was just not the right time though bc it looks so much like my kind of game. Might be worth dusting it off again to give it another go.

  • I like to mix things up, so I'm replaying Wolfenstein New Colossus on death incarnate difficulty, and sprinkling in Steve's Warehouse, Balatro and Hades for shorter sessions.

I'm waiting for a good sale to pick up Indiana Jones and will probably get Borderlands 4 sometime soon so hubs and I can play it together. I'm also considering a new playthrough of Cult of the Lamb now that the expansion has been announced.

  • If you like video game history you might enjoy this video from Vox. Quake's custom keyboard mapping settings (unique for the time) was a big development in gaming. One gamer's personal settings config became popular and ultimately established the WASD control scheme that has been basically the standard since.

  • I played the hell out of the shareware version, and begged my dad to get the full game , at which point I blazed through all the difficulties. It was the first game that I eventually 100%ed. I was psyched to get it and be able to play it on steam and was surprised how much I remembered.

Mostly for nostalgic reasons, it's one of my favorite games of all time.

  • Agreed. It's a great game. I wish it had more variability in puzzles or solutions to give it more replay value. I got it right when it came out and still feel like it's too fresh in memory to go through it again.

  • It's absurd and hilarious and I love it.

But is it just a stock Tacoma with big wheels or did they do more body mods to it? It looks way smaller than even older style trucks like the bed was shortened or something but that could just be an illusion due to the size of the wheels.

  • I played the hell put of Freecell back in the day. Started going through the seeds in order, and over the course of about 2 years I made it through 1500 or so.

I should pick that up again. Only got about 30000 or so games left to finish the whole thing...

  • Wow this does make me feel old. Even if it was staged it was a great time for the internet.

  • With everything Nintendo is putting those guys through, I'm glad to see they are still putting work into Palworld. I kind of want to get it just to show support.

  • Here's a few ideas of games that I think will work on your system. Putting in some variety since it looks like you play different game styles.

FPS- Wolfenstein New Colossus, Old Blood and New Order (Skip Youngblood)

Stealth -Dishonored 2, Styx Master of Shadows

Dungeon crawler/roguelike - Cult of the Lamb

Rpg/Turn based combat - South Park stick of truth

  • I know fortnite is a behemoth in gaming and makes about 10 billion gazillion dollars, but it seems like they are putting all their eggs in that basket without any plans for afterward. Every game falls out of style, and fortnite will too eventually. Maybe they're thinking about this internally but it just seems like they are putting themselves in a corner if they don't adequately support UE for non-fortnite use cases.

  • It seems like they are building to appease the AI farms now.

  • This is sort of the way

The Wrath of Becky ends. After exacting her revenge for the second time, she gets approached by a CIA person who basically offers her a job as a field agent/professional killer and she ends up getting support ro take out one final bad guy with a flipping tank. It's a satisfying ending for the movie and for Becky.

If you haven't seen those movies, they're worth checking out. They're like 2 hours of revenge/justice porn, very violent and gory but entertaining.

  • Yes, and even with Valve doing some great things for gaming, it's important to note that we all will benefit from Valve having meaningful competition from Epic and GOG. If gamers spread their money around, service providers will do more to earn it.

  • AMEN. I'm sure many women will agree with me that getting hit on in a linkedin dm is so demoralizing.

I've had men as me if I did sex documentaries (?), just tell me I'm hot, and ask to connect because I look like I'm nice, all sorts of creepy stuff. These guys have impressive profiles and look like they're doing well, but they are slimeballs and it made me not want to use LinkedIn at all, which is hard when you're on the job Markey.

DeepSeek collects keystroke data and more, storing it in Chinese servers

  • I have a withings and I really like it. Their privacy policy made me feel better about allowing my info on the cloud. You can run it offline (it sends weight via Bluetooth to the app but won't show 7-day trend an scale screen without wifi). I don't mind that, so I leave it disconnected. I don't use a home assistant though so I can't speak to that part.

I have the withings watch also, so I use the app as my catch all health tracker which works well. it's nice to have everything together. Can't speak to any others but I'd recommend withings.

  • I guess it's hard to walk the line between pleasing hard core gamers and speed runners vs more casual gamers. The speed run community takes advantage of glitches that in many cases make gaming worse for the more casual folks. It's probably one of those things that devs have to keep in mind in choosing whether to eliminate a bug/glitch or leave it.
