  • $20 is a steal.

  • Please yes. The average person doesn't need an insane graphics card, if they can make an APU that's affordable it'll fly off the shelves.

  • Yes, I use it often and it works great now.

  • Other people answered how it's measured, but if you're just shopping for a CPU I'd recommend skipping straight to benchmarks. There's a lot of technical stuff involved but if you look at Geekbench/Passmark scores you can easily compare which ones are more powerful.

If you're shopping for a laptop with a specific CPU I'd also look into how much power it uses (in Watts).

  • I was very concerned reading those first few words

  • Exactly. Also an interesting phenomenon I saw when microwaving water for tea is that, because it's so foamy and bubbly, the tea packet floats to the top when you drop it in which makes it harder to mix in the taste.

Those few weeks where my kettle wasn't working were dark times.

  • While it is a big gap I never understood the internet's obsession with age and dating. If they're both over 21, they're both adults and can do whatever they want man

  • They reverted those changes last week.

  • There is, AI bots are scraping the entire internet and overloading servers by downloading everything. That's literally why every website is adding captchas and hiding behind Cloudflare now.

Edit: just so you know, downvoting me doesn't change actual facts

  • It's a necessary evil sadly. The internet is so overrun with bots that if there wasn't a captcha or those cloudflare "click here to pass" buttons, the internet would implode.

  • I have been thinking you should stop spamming this shit in every community

  • Any website that hijacks my scroll wheel or forces smooth scrolling. It makes me unreasonably mad

  • It means both instances will see old posts from before one of them defederated.

Now that A is de-federated from B, they both won't see new posts or comments from eachother. In the case of fedia and ani.social, you won't get any new posts from any of their communities or users. If you post on [email protected] from fedia, nobody will see that post outside of fedia users, because ani.social isn't seeing it and passing it around to the rest of the fediverse.

You hav basically the right idea, everything stops syncing when one defederates.

  • People forget how revolutionary TLOU is. It aged incredibly well (yes, the PS3 version, not just the remaster) and set a golden standard of cinematic games. The story is incredible, the survival horror gameplay is still legitimately good.

Lots of people in the comments are praising the sequel but I didn't like it at all. It was totally unnecessary and the new characters are so melodramatic. The first one's ambiguous ending was perfect.

Also, hot take, the series is way worse than the game. They filled the story with fluff and flashbacks which ruined the pacing, and got rid of the incredible cold opening for 10-15 minutes of sarah running around.

  • Sorry mate, but it sounds like you're absolutely in the wrong and need to work on your anger issues instead of waving your hand at people for not understanding you.

I have a reason for my actions, people just choose to ignore those reasons and misinterpret me.

People acknowledge your reasons but it's no excuse for shouting or lashing out. You can try anger management or trying to keep your voice lower when you're mad, or at least apologizing when getting genuinely mad at someone.

  • Plenty of devs think it's easier than it is. A ton of games are built on proprietary tools, and then you get into legal hot water on whether you can even give away things like the soundtrack or assets you bought like stock sound effects.

I wouldn't be surprised if they looked at it after the petition and thought "wait, I actually can't open source this"
