  • Feddit.org officially announces they will ban criticism of Israel and pro-Palestinian posts and comments.

  • Let me guess, nobody batted an eyelid when Netanyahu used the phrase to assert Jewish supremacist sovereignty "West of the Jordan". Like you can say from the river to the sea as long as your extremist statement has the opposite of the proscribed polarity.

  • And because the German state has conflated anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism so completely, they will zero in on this, further crack down on Muslims and leftists and completely miss actual rising anti-Semitism on the Right, that actually threatens German jews. Worse still, they have created the discursive infrastructure for the anti-Semitic wackos to siphon away more ideologically susceptible people into actual dangerous anti-Semitic organizing and sympathizing. They created the conveyor belt that's rationalizes the "well if it's antisemitic to oppose genocide then I am one too" zero sum game.

In short, the German state killed nuance, and German jews will suffer.

  • ...and my bow

  • Yes, however scientific papers aren't always linearly formatted PDFs (eg 2-columns), so pdftotext tends to be brittle.

If you only mean reading a file from a specific selection of text, I’ve never seen something that,

Okular actually does that, and with Pied I can use nice Piper voices, but the controls are very basic (start at the stop of the page, pause, stop).

  • ReadAloud sort of does but it requires sending the pdf to their website, which is obviously not ideal.

  • A screen reader reads what's on the screen. What I'm describing is reading a document. ReadAloud does exactly that for Firefox, I am just asking for standalone applications.

  • Propositional logic is easy.

    Predicate logic just looks hard.

If you want to truly confuse people, you have to go into temporal logic.

  • Question unclear. Are you asking if I'm painting all Americans with the same brush? Or are you asking whether my rejection of "justified" is representative of the morals of all Americans?

  • Interesting choice of words there with "justified". Not "legal" or "expected" but "justified". Meanwhile, every American ever thinks they can move wherever the fuck they want but let's pretend that other people thinking that is somehow "unjustified".

  • LMDE because it's Mint and a recent Debian stable.

  • Next: German authorities name Haaretz an antisemitic publication.

  • Excellent. Eloquent, to the point, devastating. Fantastic.

  • Help a tired brain out. Are you making the stupid argument that pro-Palestine advocacy is incitement to discrimination and hatred and war propaganda for Hamas?

  • It is utterly shameful for Germany to be doing shit like this. Disgraceful.

  • What does "participating" entail? This particular individual, what did they do in particular? Guilt by association is either bullshit or should be used to punish every fucking Israeli citizen who has ever served in the genocidal IDF. Do you think that last bit's a bit crazy? Well, yea, that's the point, isn't it. Guilt by association is bullshit.

  • Is there a source for this? Who's the artist?

  • I don't know what "valid" means in this context.

Israel is a valid state that is commiting genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, occupation and other crimes against humanity.

In a two state solution, one of the two states would be Israel. And it'd better pay reparations.

In a democratic one state solution with equal rights for all, the future state will be a successor to all of present day Israel's debts, infrastructure, institutions, etc, in the way post-apartheid South Africa is a legal continuation of apartheid South Africa.

Basically, the possible justice-oriented solutions are based on the "validity" of Israel. So, when you're saying it's invalid, what do you mean?
