Neurodivergent Dad. Accepting info dumps on all channels.

  • My fundamentalist dad told me it was because the first passover (when God killed the first born son of every Egyptian household that didn't have lamb's blood) landed on Friday the 13th. Take that with a grain of salt.

    China rule...?

  • Bro, have you considered the perspective of everyone when doing anything?

You're moving the goal post from "What does a Chinese person think of someone saying fuck China" to "What is the opinions of everyone when someone says fuck China".

And people do see "Fuck Israel" and accuse those saying it of being anti-Semitic. You can tell those people they are wrong for being upset, but you will find them as obstinate as you are in keeping their opinion.

Also, there's a big difference between saying something like "fuck China" in a group chat vs posting it on a global forum - that sort of context matters.

  • Why though? There is literally no reason to be upset

Says the person who refuses to consider the perspective of others, like the Chinese.

  • Yes I am little upset, but I don't deny it and I don't deny it happens to others. Every accusation is a confession it seems.

  • You seem fairly upset yourself, certainly wrote a lot on this.

Edit: it seems the question "What do the Chinese think?" is not relevant to you - I don't really care about your reasons to dismiss the question, but I do care that others know that is where you are coming from.

  • TIL the Chinese people never hear "fuck China" and are unable to think about it.

  • How do you think the Chinese people would perceive "fuck China" with no other qualifiers?

  • From my point of view, the world is neither getting worse nor better.

Is the climate changing the human world for the worse, or isn't it? Maybe you don't deny that climate change is happening, but this comment seems to deny its impact.

  • Not if you loosely define "organized human society". Imagine a bright future where you just live in your pod and be a happy meatbag that powers the Matrix. Hell, even corporations are "organized human society".

Those ghouls are saying we should dim the sun instead of disinvestment in oil.

  • Weird that people insist climate change isn't changing the world. Or at least not in a way that matters?

If we can't say that our actions are making the world better or worse, then there really is no need to be involved in politics.

  • Are both sides ignorant of the history behind climate change?

  • A way of life is ending, but life will go on. Frankly I'm rooting for gas to be more expensive.

  • Yeah, this one hits home. Recently he tried to put out a few videos, haven't watched them, kind of waiting for someone else to dissect it for me because yeah...

  • That's fine, I actually like that. They likely mean his more "culturally" aware stuff

  • Love it. Often I'll frame "better" in terms of individualism. Licking a boot as an individual is better than bargaining as a group I guess 🤷

  • Imagine the libs actually taking up arms. I can't.

  • This. Another Jan 6th is the best we can hope for at this point. If Trump wins, it will be much worse than the first time. If he loses, but wins the coupe, then we get a civil war. I don't like how 2 of the 3 options are a national shit show as opposed to a failed insurrection (best scenario at this point).

  • Being pro-Open source is to be against the specialization of labor? That's probably not what you mean, but I don't get how having the option to participate negates specialized labor.

  • It does cover how larger industry would be coordinated, it is not advocating for communes. Feel like we're reading two different things...

  • if you don’t believe that the ultimate power in any market is consumer choice

Because I believe in open source where I'm not a consumer, but a participant in it's creation. The ultimate power in the market isn't consumer choice, it's the choice over what gets made and who gets paid.
