Nuno's one of my favorite guitarists. This seems to be part of a larger trend where guitarists leave big guitar companies and found their own brands. Dean Lamb of Archspire left Kiesel Guitars some time ago to found Ethos Guitars; Tosin Abasi has had his own Abasi Concepts for several years already. The YouTuber Samurai Guitarist launched his own brand Otera recently.
