  • And there's stuff that just can't be made into a Flatpak. Someone mentioned in another thread that they wanted to use Waydroid on their deck, Bazzite has it built in but Steam OS doesn't - maybe there's a way to layer it on SteamOS but that's sort of tricky to do (idk I don't have a Steam Deck but I run Bazzite on my laptop).

  • I wonder if Chrome started charging a monthly fee if that would be enough for them to start hemorrhaging users?

  • Ooh, Limo has a Flatpak? Nice. I'm running Bazzite on my laptop and have been wanting to play FNV for the first time but I've got it on Epic through Heroic Launcher. I'm guessing the file paths will be different but it should otherwise mod more or less the same as you said, I'll have to try it. What kind of weird stuff did you have to do to get NVSE working?

  • updater software for my car

Can I just point out that there was a point in time in living memory where this statement would be utterly deranged? (And it'll probably soon be unusual again because of OTA updates...)

  • Although 420698008 isn't bad...

  • The appendix is a vestigial organ that doesn't actually do anything in humans. (It might still fit the definition of vestigial, but it's far from useless and we keep learning more about how valuable gut health is.)

  • I'm guilty of this a few days ago, but there's no FOSS memes community on Lemmy and I don't know if there's enough interest to make one.

  • I looked up the Taj Mahal money laundering, and it's real.

  • New Brighton's logo does look extremely corporate though.

  • Truth is you can go a decade and never even see a gator.

... How? I grew up near Orlando, and seeing a smaller alligator next to an apartment complex retention pond or just in a random lake was extremely common. The week I moved away from Florida, some kid was killed by an alligator in the lake I learned to water ski in, although people being killed by alligators is extremely uncommon, they're generally pretty chill and don't go after animals that are bigger than them.

  • Phrased that way, the while nipple graft thing is kinda weird. I know a trans guy who opted to forgo them entirely, the first time I saw him shirtless I had to do a double take because you know something's missing but it doesn't immediately occur to you what. His plan was to have tattoos done. I'm reasonably happy with my nipple grafts though, lol.

  • Better than ocean water, fish poop in there!

  • You can totally 3d print shower heads, it's usually a pretty standard connector. (Well, there's like two standards, based on very limited research - US and Canada have a different standard than the rest of the world.)

  • I thought this was a Tesla at first and I hoped he'd gotten a free vanity plate from a clever DMV worker.

  • Legacy Nvidia drivers a couple months ago? That was a fun time, lol.

  • There's a game dev version they're working on that I'm kinda hyped for.

  • I have the jlab version and they're comfortable enough, but they're pinching the side of your ear so they do get uncomfortable after a while. I still prefer them to standard earbuds, but I'm also prone to ear infections so...

Keep in mind sound quality probably isn't quite on par with similar priced earbuds, but they're great for podcasts. +1 for these being a "glad I bought them" impulse buy.

  • Okay Gaston
