  • No, but if you have a link... 😉

I am pretty sure that such a service exists, but I can't find it.People paid cash, and it converted to crypto. Similar to paying USD/GBP or EUR on an online store e.g. Amazon UK/DE/COM etc.

Ideally, like paying USD on Amazon UK so that I don't get stung with Amazons exchange rate or eBay (or Paypals) etc.

  • Yes, it seems it does.. and they look good. 🙂

    Example here - https://piefed.social/topics

I got it from here - Scroll down to differences between Lemmy and PieFed.

  • Thanks, will look for it. Hopefully can find some info. 🤞

  • Ah ok. Thanks.

  • Thanks. Does PieFed have subcategories?

Is it possible (or difficult) to migrate an entire forum from vanilla to a lemmy instance?

  • I have added an idea to the OP as I think (and hope) that might make some sort of difference.

How to combat Ticketmaster / Livenation?

  • Yep, that's the plan. Still didn't get around to it today. My "free" day and I've not sat down other than the few minutes earlier to write the OP and look at some of the replies l. Hopefully I'll have a few hours to myself after dinner.

  • Thank you for a great, detailed answer. Proxmox it is so. I was going with NixOS and definitely going to try Podman as I've been reading all about that while downloading and copying the Isos. I will be dedicating an entire machine and if I don't do it today, I fear it will be another year before I come back to it. 🥴 I'm going to start it now . Thanks again.

  • End goal is running docker with immich, navidrome, and something like jellyfin etc. Along with a few other things that I may add as I go along. Stability and low maintenance would probably suit me best

  • Thanks, I've never heard of podman, I will have a look at that.

  • Thanks, I will have a look at that. Add it to ventoy.

  • Using Raccoon for now after having a few issues with voyager. Liking it so far.

  • I must be on my own. I know John Carter flopped phenomenally, but I really liked it. Thought it was a great movie. Was very annoyed when I found out that there may never be a 2nd. Even if there was, at this stage it is very unlikely to be the same cast. IIRC, a lot of the blame was on Disney marketing. But IDK about these things.

  • My point was, as per OP, if we banned it now, there would still be a large portion claiming outrage. Either because they profit from it, or it effects a product they use or collect.

  • Plastic is much more harmful than asbestos ever was. (Try banning it)

Any tips to start eating fish?

  • Yet not one lesson was learned. If anything, they've made it worse. No accountability, monopolies in almost every sector, or vast majority ownerships.

  • When it's all done and dusted, I hope it's the beginning of the end for corporate capitalism as we know it. Allowing them to become that big and powerful through corruption that they literally think that they can control the world, is insane.

This is happening because of greed.
