  • Bruh i wish, 2-3 trees or anything of the sort probably won't help us 😔

  • Yes, but also, how do we consider aro/ace people, or people who are one but not the other, or gender non-conforming people, or people, or people who are a mix, this is an N-dimensional problem

  • If and only if you can define "gay" on a one dimensional axis, otherwise it would be like plotting points on an N-dimensional graph, I'm pretty sure "gay" is a multiple dimensions thing.

So sadly we wont be getting a

    tree: BinaryTree<Person> = BinaryTree::new_sorted_by(order_gayest);

    anytime soon 😒

  • That clears it up, thank you very much :)

  • I find it really charming how i can sort of see what you're doing even though I'm a complete beginner in this language and we're talking about allocators :^).

That said, the update is greatly appreciated.

  • If possible, I'm sure this community would love reading a blog post about exactly this.

Myself, I'm in uni and don't really have time to make new projects in rust and would greatly appreciate to read what you have to say about this :)

  • I will also recommend, lately I've been playing an hour here and there because I've gotten busy and the game is still fun and absolutely gorgeous. Can't recommend enough :)

  • No, i want an easy way to navigate between unopened pdf files within the same directory

  • Will remember this as this might be close enough in case other solutions won't do

  • Looks perfect to my use case, will try it out, thanks :)

  • Replied to schnurrito with the answer. In short, i want to view files in a directory as one would view photos in a gallery, as I can't always tell beforehand which file is relevant to me and I'd like to be able to move quickly between files, instead of opening many files and then closing the irrelevant ones.

  • That's pretty close to what I'd be looking for, yes, a problem I'm having with common pdf viewers is that I'd need to open the files I'd want to read from beforehand, instead of just passing to the next file like i would in a gallery.

This requires that I'd know which files are relevant to me before reading said files.

That said, my use case does sound unique so I'm not surprised it's hard to figure out what im looking for :)

  • i would call being resistant to misinformation, being a force against misinformation, is that enough to warrant calling it a force for truth?

They do it for free, too, what more you can ask for? Well you can unreasonably ask them, these people, humans, fallible biological machines, to "be" correct 100% of the time, even when moderators may not be available, even when people didn't yet report misinfo, something you'd never ask anyone else to do or be.

Oh wait you did ask that, so I think there's a very good reason to believe you don't really care for what you preach.

  • Linux @lemmy.ml

New to linux, would like some help setting up dual boot.
