  • Recently finished Ultros. Started playing The Drifter.

  • I might be weird, but I often just have leftovers. Or sometimes I'll throw a frozen pizza in the oven, maybe have some salad, whatever.

  • All that annoying nudity.

  • "Kill it with fire!""NO YOU FOOL! You'll only make it angrier!"

  • I think it goes a bit deeper than just ease of assimilation. A big part of Paul's ministry was the idea that only Jesus can provide salvation, which implies that following all the laws can not. At least that was my understanding based on what I remember reading.

  • I'm playing the VR version of Myst. Also recently played the The Room VR. I don't generally play VR games (partly because they don't seem appealing to me, and partly because I can get nauseous surprisingly fast), but I really liked these. Looking forward to Riven next.

  • I've been playing Virgo too. Surprisingly enjoyable for a game where literally all of the enemies are more likeable than the main character, but it's also one of the few games that made me want to follow through on a second playthrough to get a different ending. Also I like the music.

  • I've teared up for some. In Sound Mind made me think of my cat who was recently deceased and was more special to me than any of the other pets I had. And then there was the ending for Outer Wilds, and the... fuckin' everything in Ori and the Blind Forest.

  • I used to like reading the medium - long stories on the malicious complience subreddit. [email protected] just never really took off here.

  • My company (small, < 50 people) basically did an informal survey and then CEO said that working from home is here to stay, with the option to work in the office whenever we want (and some do).

  • Yeah, I intended the question to come across as kind of a joke. My uncle doesn't really spend time online, but he needed a computer to look for jobs. He is living in my basement though, so I do have some concern about what comes over our network. But I wasn't planning to actually do anything beyond my typical pc setup.

  • I love this!

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

I'm setting up a Windows 11 laptop for my uncle. Is there a sneaky way to make it block right-wing bullshit websites?

  • My thinking is that as long as I'm given the choice, I'd rather be scammed out of $20 than fail to help someone who legitimately needs it.

  • I think it just takes up to a few hours for changes to propagate to all the DNS servers.

  • My first smartphone was the LG Optimus G. It had a textured pattern on the back that made my other phones look plain by comparison.

  • My one hand held some honey-roasted peanuts, my other hand held some dry cat food. Guess which one went into my mouth.

  • I've been liking MX Linux.

  • The PS2 version of Shadow of the Colossus still looks great to me.

  • I don't downvote (At least not intentionally, but if I fall asleep while holding my there can be some accidental taps). Even if something seems somewhat offensive to me.

On the other hand, I don't upvote as much as I think I should.

Google requires developer accounts to be verified (good) so now scammers are trying to hijack legitimate accounts (not so good)

A bit dramatic for something that can be dismissed with "Ok", don't you think?
