  • This kid was on remarkably good condition but after getting him I was already set to deworm it because all feral cats have issues.

    I wished I had had a fire hose but a block down the road from this task was every fire engine and ambulance within 5 miles responding to something that wasn't my business unless I got a call from a CERT team leader. But I really wanted their fire hose. It would have saved me a lot of time and we always keep a pet towel in the car because we never know what is going to happen.

    I got this call while taking pictures of a round bail storage area for an art reference. We went from there to the cat in less than 15 minutes.

    I haven't been able to touch Reagan since the day I removed her from the kennel and gave her free roam rights to the house.

  • I have to name a lot of cats every year. You start to get desperate for unique ones after the first hundred. And you don't want a cat to be on file at the vet as "Fluffy 51.” That's not happening on my watch

    Four cats came in and they needed mostly unisex names. I decided to go with the names of presidents. Kennedy, Taylor, Harding and Reagan. Reagan got that name because they were the meanest of the lot. At the time I didn't even know if they were male or female.

    Taylor and Harding passed all the tests for being adoptable and went in the next stop on the kitten railroad, probably Connecticut. Kennedy had problems peeing where he shouldn't so he went to a cat rescue a few miles down the road where he could pee on all the trees he wants.

    But Reagan was a problem. Extra mean and long fur. She needed a barn cat situation because she was going to need flea and fur treatments against her will. So she stays with me as a barn cat and if I see her having an issue I know how to trap and handle her for treatment. She is free to go outside whenever she wants but despite her being vicious she has decided to stay inside rather than run free.

  • My stepdad was allergic to cats. But my mom got a cat anyway. He wanted nothing to do with this cat. We discovered [confirmed] he was not allergic to cats and that this cat would become his bestest friend.

    We are also watching Just Shoot Me. Lots of references to Trump by the character Jack Gallo. In every one of them he is presented as someone who is pompous and competitive with zero redeeming qualities.

  • I'm not normally a fan of dramas but after Breaking Bad I became a person that will sit down and not leave the couch if Breaking Bad is on.

  • I ended up with one for free after years of not caring. What I found is that you cannot match their ability to turn the cheapest hot dogs into great hot dogs. That a kielbasa or smoked sausage becomes a work of art. Heat up a microwave burrito in the microwave and then crisp it in the air fryer. Perfect for egg rolls. Anything where that skin has to be crispy or have a bite to it is a great thing to throw into an air fryer.
