Like you, I am a living person with memories, emotions, and interests. But from your perspective, I'm just another picture on a screen. Isn't that concerning?

  • sorry if I seemed panicky, it's just I've been looking like a meth mouth for years and I'd hate for this process to go wrong this far in... my dentist doesn't appear to have an off hours line, so I'm just waiting for tomorrow. if the filling already fell out after less than 2 days I'm just a tad worried about having it stay in for 2 weeks after it's filled again

  • exactly why I came here. I was hardly using Reddit anymore as it was because it felt off. it still does feel off when I go back to visit, a lot of the posts are formatted in a very machine like way. when I found out about that r/changemyview AI comments thing I knew I wasn't crazy for thinking this.

  • same here, I used to like his Warcraft stuff and thought his house tour being complete untamed chaos was so hilarious. never knew of his political stuff until he commented on gaza and I was instantly made aware of the reality of his views.

  • hopefully there can be one with ai banned or disabled. Pinterest feeds me SOOOO much ai generated gibberish text trash these days.

  • Hexbear is cool. I've learned a lot from them. the thing is, some of the people there can be a little brash at first. I recommend looking around the instance a bit before you decide on blocking it. some of them can be a little brash but they mean well.

  • at first for about a week I had a horrible headache. it didn't feel like a normal headache either, it felt like a mix between the sinus pressure type of headache and a fever headache. I also was sleeping 3 times as much during this phase, like I'm talking sleep before work, get home the next day and sleep 5 more hours. wake up eat dinner sleep again. but eventually I got passed it after that week or so. felt better ever since. saves a lot of money too.

  • caffeine. I was so wired from drinking like 5 redbulls every day that I wasn't sleeping anymore, maybe a few hours here and there. I was starting to go insane. so I remember at one point on my work lunch break, February 27th 2024, I told myself I won't ever drink these again unless it's a situation where I need to be awake (like if I'm on an overnight layover with an early flight for example, which is rare enough). I sleep until about noon now on my days off, it's fucking awesome.

  • if you come to California your power bill will be fucking high. me and my roomates don't even really use that much power and just sit on our phones all day in the dark. bill still usually totals in the 300s.

  • 100%. my generation is among the first to be raised online, I'm not shocked. even as a kid a lot of my memories are just of being on YouTube or playing steam games.
