  • Sorry for the newbie question, but how is your nextcloud setup automated? Is that like a compose/yaml file?

  • Just like "reading the rules" for each community. Stop wasting everyone's time with boilerplate bullshit that shouldn't need to be said, like treat people with respect, no spamming, etc. If there are community specific rules to adhere to, put them front and center.

  • Also, NFTs. Wasn't there a supposed use case for contract authenticity or something?

  • On the other hand, he directed Titanic, which probably also had tech advances, but is recognized more for the story. Is that a fair observation? I was still a kid when it came out, so I know less about it than Avatar.

  • What does DE mean in this context?

  • LFG?

  • Good to know, thank you!It wasn't very clear, but that was based on other people's comments; I haven't gotten to installing either of them. (I need to get on it lol). But that makes sense. I saw people say just don't auto update, because it is early days like you said.

  • I'm getting my first server up and running and always considered getting immich. But lately I'm leaning towards photoprism because of updates breaking immich sometimes apparently and photoprism being more mature(?).Why do you want to switch?

  • My microwave has a feature that, after it's done microwaving, positions the turntable the way it was when it started. So a cups handle is always accessible.

  • I'm the same way, but I only have about 6k Screenshots, so I have a lot of work ahead of me.

  • This made me think of Innovative Online Industries in Ready Player One. A corporation basically trying to domineer and take over a collective thing (internet).

  • What's wrong with 4k gaming? Just curious

  • Pretty interesting and always impressive what technical marvels humans have creates. This is a rare glimpse into such a machine from the past.

  • How dare you

  • Thank you.I just realised that the list on the left in the browser is from YouTube, not the browser you're using... I'm losing my mind.

  • What browser are you using?

  • Sounds intriguing. Could you send some screenshots or point me in the direction where I can learn some tips and tricks, so to speak?

  • Yeah, it still seems like an overreaction(with good intentions) to a poorly communicated change, which, yes, might mean they'll do it in the future. But for now, they have the benefit of the doubt from me, and once it starts happening, I'll move to a fork. That being said, I don't know anything about the code, so I have to count on the community to make it known that it's actually been implemented. For now, as far as I understand, the only indication that they're even considering it, is that change in the ToS or whatever. Nothing else to suggest it's happening.
