  • It get's better with experience. I have nuked my system countless times at the beginning.

If you are too frustrated with Linux maybe give it a rest or consider dual-booting instead. It sound that you are frustrated and don't have a clear head to troubleshoot.

  • I vote for 5 with a lot of missing dots.

If dots didn't move (they sometimes do) only five would have flat top and missing corner.

  • I also hate fixing issues but once you set your system up, with all correct nvidia drivers and couple other miscellaneous items (gnome extensions, config variables) it will be "smooth" sailing up until you reinstall.

  • "Do you want to live?" is a question where an answer is independent of external* factors and it comes from within.

Still I would propably want to live.

    *but it can get complicated

  • I will probably switch to AT proto via Wafrn. (When I feel like getting around to do it.)

IMO AT proto is better protocol for web 3.0 social media than activity pub that feels like web 1.0 with interoperability.

AT proto is based on identities not on instances. If your instance is gone then too bad. Your account is gone too. In AT proto you can forcefully migrate your account.

Subscribing to independed labellers and feeds is also good. It feels like build your social media but with modularity than interconnected silos of instances.

I don't like that AT proto is controlled by bluesky but usefulness is better that principle. I will just switch to another thing when it enshittifies enough.

  • RateYourMusic, Gnoosic, and the old school way: on the radio. I have one curated music program that I listen to and discover new stuff.

The YT algorithm also sometimes recommends good stuff that has few hundred views

  • It's cool place but doesn't have moderation so there is a lot NSFW stuff there.

  • One advantage of this is, unlike meshtastic, I already have the hardware in the pocket.

  • A lovely place called Earth.

  • I have digital one and it almost runs three years already. Obsidian + syncthing works good enough for me.

I journal intermittently for mental health reasons. I put down my feelings to get rid of them. I works wonders.

  • Is it worth it?

No. It will never be worth it. This is not the trade you think you are making.

Idk, I have constructed this "superior" all different character of mine

I assume that here lies your problem. That you somehow want this feeling of superiority, and you pick whatever could make you feel that way.

There are two ways you could do this:

    • Detach from feelings of alienation in your friend group.OR
    • Detach from the feelings of superiority.

There are ways to find mainstream stuff, but they need effort. RSS feeds, good news letters, subscriptions to actual newspapers, throwaway accounts for Social Media with strict time limits and adblockers.

  • Thanks for reminding me that he exists. Banger video.

  • It's more interesting question than you might think.

Am I an LLM? I am not. Am I my thought noise from where LLM translates thoughts into language? I am not.

I am the one that experiences. I am one that contains and observes both of those systems.
