  • I have lived in Hamburg my whole life, but also visited USA a couple of times, so I have a comparison. The People are different, more reserved here. But if you get to know someone a bit more, we open up just fine and can be great friends. English is widely spoken in the City, but maybe not as much when you get out the city a bit, so learning German is a plus. (You'll need someone to teach you, Duolingo won't do the trick) I'd be happy to answer more questions if you want to know something specific.

  • There is a Plugin for Zsh (ohmyzsh) that gives you that right in the shell. I use it all the time and rely on it. Don't have the name on my mind though, sorry.
