I've been keeping an eye on Linux since the late 90s. It took me not having to use any non-Linux software or hardware on the computer in question. Currently I have two laptops running Linux, one has Windows in case I need it (which so far has turned out to be never), and I have a workstation that has Linux as a secondary OS but I'm always in Windows on that one because of software and hardware.
I played quite a bit of soccer back in the day, yes. It's nowhere near the forces of a clash in the NFL, which is what was being mentioned as a typical example of what can give someone a concussion. All I'm saying is that it takes less force than many probably think. I'm not saying riding a horse gives you a concussion.
Ikea has several things that last. My desk is 20 years old and still solid as a tank, I have a shelf and two small tables that are 30 years old, my mom had a bookshelf that was over 30 years and in good shape when she sold it. You just have to avoid the flimsy crap.
I keep all my money in my mattress. All of the $52.
