  • He didn't lose a debate. He was speechless after a pointed argument.

I haven't heard him admit defeat.

  • It's the symbol of that release group. The reason for that is unknown to me.

  • The thing is they had data that expected to be slightly aggregated, do not a 1:1. The problem comes when you try to use the data for analysis and realize it didn't make any sense

  • I'm pretty sure Jobs either didn't die at 56 or wasn't born around 1901.

  • My ex company had for more than 10 years keept all the data customers shared with us. Structured and standardized, should have been easy peasy.

Somehow they were "appending wrong" in some way and data was useless. In think they were trying to reduce the size by aggregating a bit, but they did in a way that rendered the data useless.

Of course the CEO wanted to train models with it anyway...

  • Its not an endorsement, is a criticism of those who consider themselves free thinkers but only follow the what they have been fed.

The fact that it can't be reversed (by having the media something correct) shows the bias that "free thinking" is only good when it follows our personal bias.

Ironic how it's flying over so many heads

  • Replace communism with fascism in the meme and sudden suddenly seems stupid.

Free thinking doesn't mean opposing common views by default, it means you reached your views (common and uncommon) by your own

  • Thanks! it was a mounted volume in this case (just beside the location of the compose file), but it's still good to know!

  • Only missing the workflows for my family to adopt it!

  • Silly question, how does immich read from NAS? Is that a native functionality or do you mount it in docker?

  • It's me! Do you have the comment by any chance or just remember by heart? As mentioned below, the tariffs are mostly in hold until November (or people start asking again about some files and a distraction is needed).

  • It's me haha! But the tariffs war are on hold with the most outrageous frozen until November so...

And this is on a sale of the first version? I would be surprised about a permanent across the board discount, not this.

  • It drove me nuts 15-20 years ago when macs started getting popular in my country. Some people would literally buy a brand new premium Mac and the start saying how much better was mad vs PCs. Being PCs the 5 years old family computer that was bought when dial up internet was the hot new thing.

By far, the worse was the photographer who bought an iMac because "you can't do photography without one" and didn't even know it didn't run windows.

  • I think there was one event in Utah were somebody shot an argument about guns being bad, and he thought about it for the rest of his life. Not sure if it changed his mind

  • Bug report: not enough bugs in the city of bugs.

  • Not a bug/won't fix

  • Maybe it's that. I haven't truly used it in 7-8 years.. Both next cloud and airflow were horrible with sqlite back then, even for single user small instances.

    Will have to try again

  • Honestly I'm more concerned about those willingly using sqlite.

Unless it has changed a lot over the years, I remember it being orders of magnitude better with MariaDB than sqlite.

  • Take me with a massive grain of salt, but I know somebody who works with valve and had the oled prototype to work with before any rumor. She said that there's nothing going on. Next one will take a while.
