  • "Alpha/Beta" kinda makes sense to describe the manosphere when you consider the context of the study. If you force a bunch of unfamiliar wolves together in an abusive environment, cruel hierarchies can develop. If you live in a society that alienates, dehumanizes, and forces inhumane scarcity, people might find comfort in hierarchical power dynamics. It's not natural to desire to be an alpha, but the result of a manufactured environment.

  • I hope this trends instead of wall street bets. The rich need to be genuinely afraid. They've taken so many of our lives, so we must take theirs. Wealth cannot protect them from the end of civilization.

  • Freudian psychology is only relevant as a therapeutic technique, not as a way of understanding. The evidence does demonstrate its effectiveness for certain people with certain diagnoses, but like other older methods, the doctor can often project their expectations into the patient.

    The sad truth is that psychology is in its infancy, with our understandings getting rewritten at a rapid rate. It's still the best tool we have, but it's important to realize just how little we know.

    I'm early gen z, but when I was a kid, I couldn't even have gotten diagnosed with both autism and ADHD. We now know that most people with autism have ADHD, yet it wasn't even possible to get dual diagnosed until 2011.

    This isn't because science was done incorrectly, but because it was done correctly. Any leftist ideas built on psychological frameworks will have the same challenge as the books you mentioned. Psychology just moves fast.

    From your posts, it's become clear that I can't convince you to not hate yourself. Only you can decide to self love, not anyone else. You absolutely will not get better until you recognize how loveable you are.

    There wouldn't be a lesson for anyone in your death, just tragedy and pain. We'll always be here for you, but that will not matter unless you're there for yourself.

  • Imma be honest, I only had the image to go off of like everyone else. It had a lot of Mexican imagery and felt really LA to me, but there wasn't a source where I found it.

    At first I thought the signature said BoriDog instead of Boss Dog! When I did find the artist, I feel down the rabbit hole of all their fantastic stuff. My ADHD is too blame for me not posting it sooner. Sorry :(
