  • What's your favorite recreational drug and why?

  • In my 40s. I partake in alcohol here and there.

    A CBD/THC gummy is not only good for relaxation, but I’ve found that it helps with runny nose issues when I’m sick and stops the mucus drainage because it dries me up.

    In general though, weed is great in an edible form. I don’t smoke it.

  • People who have moved away from your home town/area, what do you miss most?

  • There’s a larger portion of migrants from Mexico and South America, in general, so Nevada (the west coast really) has a ton more authentic selections.

    There are some good places here, but it’s also sporadic whereas the west coast it’s all over the place!

  • Why is socialization so hard in the 2020s?

  • Yeah, I can’t tell if this is all legit or if Gen Z is sooooooooo vocal and online that they are just expressing what it’s like to get older and see how the world/relationships really work and so many are just bombarded with negativity that they then feel negative.

    I’m in my 40s (Millennial) and have social media, but I still manage to meet up with the few friends I have and muster up energy to cook, walk the dog, and clean house. I can unplug and not feel guilty and maybe that is what my difference is?

  • Honestly, not much.

    I went from the west coast (Nevada) to the Chicago area. I miss a couple of friends, fast commutes, and good Mexican food. That’s about it. Chicago has so much more opportunity and access to a ton of things.

    I personally read it differently. I read it as not everyone lives in a city, or wants to, and so people shouldn’t pressure others to do that (for mass transit) just so we can get rid of cars.

  • Do you not have apartment complexes where you live? You can easily hit that number in your building ALONE depending on how many units there are. Then you have buildings around you because apartments aren’t just a one off.

    Let’s say you live on a city block with 8 houses on each side and there’s an average of 2 people living in each house, that’s still 32 people.

  • Multilingual people, do you feel better about yourself than those that only speak one language? Monolingual people, do you envy/admire Multilingual people? And why?

  • Yes, I wish I was multilingual but I’m monolingual. It’s amazing to be able to speak multiple languages and it opens up opportunities.

    I’m a middle aged white male. Learning languages is difficult for me at my age because of time and effort needed. I would love to learn Spanish and Arabic though. Or perhaps Mandarin.

  • Oh dear lord. My 5 year old shiba has been deciding by that 4am is suddenly an appropriate time to ask to go to the bathroom when I even limit water after a certain point at night. This just started recently. She used to go until 5:30 or so and still sometimes does. It seems random, so I don’t think it’s a UTI or anything.

    There are really nice ones over $100, but they also make versions under that price as well. I’ve used them in a pinch on cars or other random projects.
