  • Every piece of this advice is absolutely brilliant and thoughtful. I'm really glad that you took the time to type it up. I think the diarrhea joke is hilarious and it would totally break the ice with me. It's a hell of a first impression and it would definitely live in my head for a long time. The only thing I would add besides knowing your audience is that you can't say the wrong thing to the right person that kind of takes some of the pressure off of you and in my experience I've found that to be very true.

  • What's a movie you don't really watch but your damn proud to have on your shelf?

  • The Fountain, it's one of those movies that just absolutely blew me away and I had to have it but I'm just never quite in the emotional state to revisit yet I still recommend. It's breathtakingly beautiful and devastating. What Dreams May Come is a very close second, but I feel like after Robin Williams' death it's even more so, but the movie itself is just so beautifully done and heart wrenching.

  • I'm so sorry for what you and your girl are going through. You are both so lucky to have each other. She's been holding on for you because she loves you so much and you have taken such good care of her. I read somewhere that to our animal friends we are like elves, so long lived and seemingly unchanging that their lifetimes are so short to us but we are their whole lives. I think that you will know when it's time, you can probably tell when she is in pain whether she wants you to or not. In the mean time snuggle her, spoil her, feel the warmth and texture of her fur. The time you have now is so precious. When she refuses food, or struggles to breathe it's time. But for now, just love her and give her some pets for me too ❤️

  • It's crazy how even though we are raising our little guy non-religious he has "learned" so much from kids at school/friends. We have started playing a game with him called "Fact, Fiction, Belief" where you have to name, you guessed it a fact, fiction and belief. For example, a fact is "a tree is a plant" a fiction would be "trees can walk like ents" a belief would be "cherry blossom trees are the most beautiful plants in the world." It has really helped him see that beliefs are kind of their own category, they are real to the person who has them but not necessarily shared by everyone.

  • You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift, this song played non stop when I worked retail and OMG it's so grossly misogynistic, she's just trashing this girl because she has the audacity to date HER crush. And she's just showing up at his house when she knows they are going through a rough patch all like you should be with me instead. 🤢 This is the IM NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS anthem with a grating faux Southern accent and banjos. 🙃
