  • Thanks yeah. I think the coolest place this could go is something that aggregates health related data from different sources, only problem is that gadgetbridge stuff is the only source I personally have. So maybe like other people suggested it's better off as a home assistant plugin or something like that for now but I'm not sure

  • Thanks, interesting read

  • That was the plan yeah

  • So this gets the data to home assistant - does home assistant then handle visualising it in a nice way or how does it work?

  • In the app, go to settings -> automations -> auto export database

  • Thanks, yeah let me know. Maybe that's simpler.

  • I can check it out - don't actually have a home assistant setup yet but yeah would that be better?

  • Selfhosted @lemmy.world

    Gadgetbridge data dashboard

  • Ah, yeah that would be annoying

  • I actually thought that was interesting. What I really didn't like is not being able to just set a theme, and when I finally got to the color picker thing it just wouldn't let me set proper full black (oled). Once themes are easier and it has tree style tabs (like sideberry - not those folders) I would consider switching again.

  • I mean yes, but it's right there: "without deep forethought". I prefer copyleft but MIT is a popular default choice

  • Thanks. I've not played around with some of the more heavyweight solutions myself. For one more alternative though, I've heard good things about clipse

  • All good! I do know of a good few projects like that and yes, simplicity is often a very good selling point

  • Kind of how it goes for most content though no?

  • Don't be shy, link the repo

  • ProtonDB is fantastic. Op, always try to search for mention of "Wayland" in the posts if a game doesn't work for you

  • Does cargo install --locked rusty-man work?

  • Might be nice to have an updated alternative though yeah

  • I've been having issues building stuff in general without RUSTONIG_DYNAMIC_LIBONIG=1 for some reason, but woththaton it built for me

  • Didn't know about rusty-man, that one's nice
