  • I got mine from AliExpress and I think they were "no drift" or something like that.~~ About 18$ so maybe they're Hall effect~~? I've had really good luck with joycons until I bought this one from eBay.

    I'm not surprised with Nintendo s decision, they're probably saving hall effect and OLED for the switch 2 pro. I'm disappointed with it, but not surprised.

    Edit: they were 4$ so definitely not Hall effect. I had a number of items in my order and got confused.

  • Definitely takes practice. I've done a little microsoldering before but I also practiced moving components around on an old motherboard beforehand. Unless you have absolutely fantastic eyes a microscope is required.
