  • I'm Asian. If I do anything well in life it's because of privilege not because I worked 2 jobs while attending community college schooling and doing nothing else for myself other than to be at a better place. My effort feels completely and utterly dismissed by some of these people. They refuse to acknowledge my effort at all and instead they keep trying to dig deeper to find reasons why I'm "privileged".

  • Ehhh....as a Linux beginner on Ubuntu I disagree... I spent a couple hours trying to get an AppImage application as a desktop icon.

    Spent an additional hour or two to mount NAS drives. Fstab?? Wtf.

    My secondary monitor flickers to black randomly for a just couple minutes after startup and there's no way I'm going to dig through Wayland to figure out why. Monitor orientation is incorrect on startup and I again don't want to dig through Wayland or whatever cfg file I need to open.....yet.

    Still needed to browse at least 5 different sources for answers.

    I'm glad Firefox doesn't crash at 500 tabs or w/e but Linux still has issues with some primitive tasks that windows has well figured out.

  • Monogatari series. I must have watched that entire series like a dozen times already. I absolutely love the VA's performance. Finally reading through the Light Novels now.

    Hajime No Ippo. Manga is still a blast and the anime was incredible too.

  • Semi-related note.. displayport cables can cause a no-boot condition too. I think it was the existence of Pin#1. I had to duct tape that one pin and my computer finally booted up.

    CNC Machines that are built in Japan are so much Mount Betterest than their 'Made in America' counterparts. Even under the same company name.

    Visit any shop that requires quality around the world and you'll see Japanese made machines almost everywhere.

  • Wrapping up everything that is left to do on my first run through Xenoblade 3. All unique monsters get. All but one colony max affinity get. All X gems get. Not maxing out hero levels.

    I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet. Haven't seen another channel that presents medical cases in such a good pacing and storytelling while being able to eloquently explain complicated medical stuff such that everyone can understand.
