  • Is it? This dichotomy seems incredibly artificial and unsustainable.

  • Yet none of that can be interpreted as "all property is theft" unless you redefine what "property" itself means which is a terrible strategy for advertising Anarchy.

  • In Thailand (and Vietnam, Philippines) where I often live plastic recycling is basically non existent and I think it's a good thing, let me explain.

The value of plastic and recyclability is really low but exposure overhead is massive (thrash being lost to ocean etc) and after visiting a trash burning facility myself I'm completely converted to trash burning. On paper plastic recycling make sense but it so low value with absurdly high overhead - just getting plastic straight to the incinerator as fast as we can is the best thing we can do imo.

As for other materials like aluminum it's very recycled everywhere I've been as it pays very decent money.

  • Anarchists believe that "all property is theft"? Lol

  • All private property is theft? Lmao go back to your cave tankie

  • basically same CPU with RX 7700 and 32 gb of ram. I think Steam Machine is predicted to be a bit below 7700 with raw numbers but with optimizations etc it'll probably be very close.

I'm very happy with this these specs though. Runs everything really well via steam's proton on 4k and I use it as a home lab server (nextcloud etc.) and living room media server.

  • I built a similarly speced machine (from what I can tell) and it runs everything I throw at it on a 4k TV. I would have gladly bought Steam Machine instead even if it was more expensive.

  • They are extremely litigious. I work in software security and they are notorious for basically having an ocean of lawyers.

  • Yes after you learn all better clients first, sure.

  • It's just a http client CLI not a programming language. It's not that difficult to switch. In fact I use at least 5 different ones myself.

  • Yes I've heard the nature can be quite beautiful but at the same time you can go to any other SEA country for similar experience with better everything else so it would be at the bottom of my list of choices just because competition is very compelling here.

  • Malaysia. It's so oppressive and incredibly dull. Every time I go there I'm looking to cut my trip short as it's just so incredibly boring. I hadn't visited the islands though which I've heard are actually a bit more free so I'd make an exception.

Same goes for Singapore - so incredibly dull and boring. The only redeeming feature is the universal theme park and the waterworld show in particular. Get an express ticket on low season and it's one of the best theme parks in Asia.

Russia would be another one. It's just fundamentally failed country and while nature can be incredible (shoutout to Kamchatka) it's culturally dead and I'm never associating with it in any way.

  • DMT is not acid and the experience is vastly different. On acid it's still mostly you in a modified environment but you're still mostly in control if you frame correctly while DMT is basically a dream rollercoaster that you just need to sit through. Both are powerful experiences and should be approached differently.

I'd say do acid instead of you want a gentle reset just make sure you set your environment. Get a sitter and just enjoy nature or the safety of your own home. I wouldn't just drop into DMT for a reset for a messy headstate. Best of luck!

  • Generally not a big fan of this type of writing especially when it's so wrong.

I'm an old software dev who grew up with curl but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone new. It's extremely dated UX that takes a long time to figure all of the quirks out. You will fail thousand times over and is a http client CLI really worth days of your time learning?

Libcurl itself is brilliant but there are much better front ends for it like hurl or alternatives like httpie - use those instead.

  • The best way to get into coding is to surround yourself in it by switching to linux and starting to program your own desktop interfaces (can be through browser too). Once you live in your own software the surface area for motivation is significantly higher so you actually learn stuff. Come up with ways to automate what you do and don't be afraid to fail.

  • Genital mutilation is inexcusable disgusting tradition - don't do it.

  • True crime gets really really weird especially when you dive into more rare extreme niches.

  • Ants are everywhere in south east asia so I'd never or build a little tower with a water bowl underneath it.
