  • My avatar is the GOOD BEE from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Because I'm locked away in my cave, but if you manage to find and befriend me, I am loyal and will slay your opponents.

  • Keep playing TUNIC. It's great.

Someone else mentioned Death's Door which I see as TUNIC's overlooked cousin.

Some others that are similar, have either played them or purchased and not played yet, due to similar taste to yours:

    Alwa's Awakening & Alwa's Legacy

    Anodyne

    Blossom Tales series

    Fountains

    Lunacid

    The Messenger

    Moonlighter series

    Unsouled

  • Seconded

  • Yeah. And it's not just them. People do this all the time. It's so obvious it's almost insulting.

I do want to see bushcraft content, but jfc, bushcraft posts go in the bushcraft pile.

  • Ok look... nobody is fooled that you've joined Lemmy 9 hours ago and are trying to self-advertise. You've been spamming your video link everywhere it doesn't belong, and not said a word otherwise. You're probably going to get banned once enough people get annoyed and report you for spam.

Lemmy users as a whole HATE ads.

If you want to share your video I recommend being sincere about it and put it somewhere like [email protected] Yes, it's pretty dead there. It could use someone to post content, like yourself. Just stop trying to disguise it, and instead be like "I'm a bushcraft Youtuber and I made a log cabin".

Best wishes from a bushcraft appreciator / Lemmy user.

  • I mean kinda, and I definitely see your logic. To be "that guy", though, the definition of a blizzard includes some specific conditions, at least where I'm from; 40 km/h winds, visibility of 400 metres or less, and it has to last at least 4 hours.

  • Yes. Unless it's the rare occasion I want to play something competitive like CSGO then I'd use m&k.

  • 1 song. Sometimes you gotta hear it on repeat.

More often it'll be an album and I might play it twice in a row.

    For an actual playlist of different songs, I only have two that I listen to frequently;

One with hundreds of personal favourites.

And another with new(or just new to me) stuff I'm interested in hearing, or want to hear again after a long time. I'll listen through and remove stuff if I don't care to hear it again. Sometimes music stays on there for months until I'm "done" with it. And the length fluctuates anywhere from around 20 to 2000 songs or so.

  • I use Mint for my streaming laptop and it works fine - great, even.

My main PC is still on Windows because from what I understand FL Studio needs WINE to run, and I could never get WINE to work on the streaming laptop. That plus 10 years of files and shit that I don't know if they will work or whatever if I did switch over. Pretty sure most or all of my Steam games would work fine, it's just too many unknowns for everything else. I'd be happy to be proven wrong but it's too big of a hassle for now.

  • Gorguts - Obscura

Death metal band takes death metal and flips it on its head. I forget the exact phrasing from an interview with the frontman Luc Lemay, but he said they wanted to make their instruments speak in a new way. It's highly experimental and maybe tough to digest even for death metal fans, but it's undeniably unique and brilliant.

  • Hell yeah. And Bergtatt, "ahh, just right".

  • They sang songs with lyrics about New York together and that was that.

    Other, less-likely factors:

New York loves Mamdani. Trump loves New York.

Trump wants to align himself with winners, and Mamdani is a winner.

Mamdani explained to him how doing what is good for New Yorkers would result in a boom for businesses and the economy.

He feels comradery over the ragebait questions from the press.

The writing is on the wall with a low approval rating and the Epstein Files. He sees his loss of support and party circling like hyenas. He's desperate and/or willing to try something different to save face. Maybe he becomes a Democrat. He never admitted to supporting Project 2025 and friends, and would betray them to serve himself. He doesn't give a shit as long as he stays in power. removed Trump 2026.

  • Ulver's "Nattens Madrigal". Bees in a tin can.

Hilarious and accurate. And that one acoustic passage that makes you think "hey maybe there will be more like this".

  • I'm also a PC gamer who prefers using a controller. No doubt a mouse is better for aiming, I just find a controller more comfortable and easier to relax with while playing, especially after working a desk job all day.

You should check out Remnant 2 and Risk of Rain 2.

  • Bloodthief

I followed the dev logs on Youtube and learned a few Godot tricks from them. Got this on day one to support the dev and indie scene and just started playing. It's a blast. Fast paced hack and slash parkour action. It feels extremely satisfying to clear a room of enemies as you whip around.

  • I'm sorry, I don't make the rules

  • Every time you switch you have to peel off a layer of dead skin line a cocoon.

  • Lunacid. Just finished 100%ing it and I'm impressed. I wasn't expecting to get so much out of it, but it took nearly 40 hours.

  • Trying to understand the question, I'll try my best.

I don't really write except for out of necessity at work, maybe taking occasional notes, and writing my meal plans and grocery lists. Most of that is not by hand except for the meal plans on a whiteboard on the fridge.

My mind says what I want to write, slowly enough for my hand to keep up. If I'm typing on a keyboard then it's closer to a natural speaking speed. My mind doesn't really wander because I'm either too focused on the physical handwriting, or whizzing through typing up an email.

I don't really pay attention to how it looks in the moment, but always notice when I'm done writing by hand that it looks almost exactly like it did when I was 5 years old and first learned to write. Bonus if a few letters or words turned out looking accidentally more adult-written, but it's a fluke. I do pay attention when typing and catch typos in real time, then correct them when I'm done the sentence.

Writing isn't my outlet. I have other things for that.

Ergonomics aren't usually a thought unless I was writing something long by hand, which is rare since finishing school.
