Honestly, lemmy and the fediverse as a whole will have natural growth and thats fine - mastodon has been around for like 8 years and is only recently getting a small amount of attention and mainstream usage. Like take the long view - like the really long view like 15 years from now. It'll probably be huge, but until then we will just share memes and have a good time discussing stuff.
Something that I have ran into is the mono runtime for gaming, it has many complicated dependinces which can easily conflict with the main system. I just ended up making full containers for older mono versions to get old games to work anyways.
They still mostly do electronic, but a larger variety of it; simliar to how they were before they broke up into "instinct" and other channels. Its definitely always changing, so if you are still into electronic-adjenct music I would suggest giving a few of thier most recent uploads a shot.
Monstercat -> play all starting from most recent. Keeps me up-to-date with the electronic music world, and is great when working. Because I cant understand lyrics from audio processing issues (unless I really focus) I perfer music without lyrics cause that forces the artist to make the music more interesting.
That is how mastodon handles groups currently, as proper group supportis still cooking. It is now on mastodons radar and hopefully that'll lead to better support in the very near future.
