  • Yeah another user mentioned this - definitely my #1 choice if it were fully released.

  • Oh fuck yeah this looks like the one.

Probably gonna do Fedora + KDE Bigscreen.

EDIT: It's not released yet due to inactive development... bummer.

  • Wife would not approve of this because she loses her phone all the time. Also the kids don't have phones.

I am looking for a solution that can be controlled by my remote

  • Do you use steam big picture mode?

I'd prefer not integrating Steam too much, since this is a shared computer that my kids also use.

I do like the UI of big picture mode, so if there were something similar that could be used by a remote or controller, that'd be top tier. Steam games could be added in via shortcuts

  • Correct, only the server owner needs the pass.

This has caused a lot of controversy because it was a free feature since Plex started and they're now locking it behind a subscription.

  • Well, considering I could no longer boot into my system, I'd say it was not fine.

  • I had started with a full disk clone which is why I was careless with the restoration

  • To actually answer, I fucked up by running sudo rclone first to copy everything and it messed with permissions, so I nuked it and copied with dolphin.

    I was just being lazy.

  • thinking process

    what is that?

  • I just bought a Sony BRAVIA 8 and it's close to this. Never connected to WiFi. It goes directly to my HTPC input and I never see the home screen unless I want to.

  • If you're on Android, there's nzb360. The dev is awesome.

  • Well god damn, that fixed it. What an odd issue.

    Thanks a ton.

  • I have only the discrete GPU - no integrated GPU or anything. Wouldn't any process with a GUI need to utilize the GPU?

  • I'll give the discord a try

  • Is that not normal?

  • But that's the thing - it's been a persistent issue over the past 4 drivers. Just a permanent stutter no matter what I'm doing.

  • Does it happen with all games or GL engagement, or just the heavier ones?

It's just constant - the video I provided shows the UFO test. The stuttering is on the desktop.

    What's your memory util?

I don't know what that is

Does your machine use swap when gaming?

No, 32 GB RAM. I rarely go above 40%.

Are you overclocking your memory or CPU freq?

    No, using XMP settings

  • heh he got hit in the balls
