  • I’ve tried no mans sky a few times and couldn’t get into it.

    I never grinded enough to get an anaconda, but I did make a few first discoveries while jumping around.

    I think my ship is so far out that every time I play, I get bored trying to jump to anywhere relevant.

  • It looks like that might be the case. I found a post asking for this and a long list of people commenting on it asking for it.

    If they did, I’d totally get all most of my games on gog. But it’s like half the price on Steam(depending on the game)

    As a side note, resident evil 2 remake was actually more expensive here by like a dollar or 2.

  • I have a few friends in this situation.

    My wife and I sometimes say that we are happy that we are done with the going out dating night life scene.

    We both had fun times dating when we were younger and single, but we are older now and are happy to relax on our home on a Friday night.

    One of our single friends said they were tired of going out to date and stuff, and I don’t blame her. As you get into your late 30s, the appeal is kind of gone.

    I’m sure I don’t speak for everyone. But I just wanted to share my experience.

    Now, my steamdeck will not boot up.

  • I did something similar to this before because I live in a different country from my home country and it’s not a problem if you host your own VPN in your own home, but if you use a commercial VPN service, the IP address may be flagged

  • I kind of expect this to happen with Apple's rumored $600 macbook. Since they just updated ipadOS to run like a locked down version of macOS. I bet they will offer this cheap mac with the same locked down OS since it will have a "phone" processor in it.

    They will say this was a compromise needed, but the majority of people will not care. After a few years, the macs that are open will get more and more expensive.

    I'm guessing Windows will slowly start to move in thie direction, but I think they will try to push their remote computers thing to accomplish this.

    I'm not sure about bootloaders being locked, I am guessing there will always be something that is unlocked and able to run linux though. It is needed for servers and stuff like that. In the worst case, someone will likely sell arm or risc-v powered boards that can be used to run linux.

  • That’s unlikely to happen here. We have a universal qr-code system. And when you can into any banking app, it will display the vendors name.

    The payment processors, will distribute placards that have the qr-code and the vendors name, so it’s pretty easy to tell.

    Also, if it’s not a qr-code from a payment processor and it’s one, i could generate? Then the checkout screen is different.
