  • Valve literally popularized the "games as a service" business model.

You're probably too young to understand when games weren't just platforms to sell you more shite.

  • People with more money than sense.

  • I just personally don’t have a problem with things that exploit people’s vanity.

    Based, but these are predatory.

For one, we shouldn't be lowering our standards so that a business can make more money. Whether you accept it or not, these vanity items do make the game more enjoyable for most players. If more of us had higher standards, we'd get the cosmetics without having to pay for a corporation's nicer campus or an executive's 9th property.

For two, whenever chance is involved it will always intrinsically prey upon those with gambling problems.

  • I'd only be interested in remakes of MG1 and 2, maybe ac!d if the stories are actually interesting (and they're remade like actual Metal Gear Solid games).

Unfortunately, looking at these comments I think I know what konami will do. They'll remake MGS1 because it will be "hype" and everyone will buy it out of loyalty to their gamer status, but it will essentially hit as hard as the Oblivion "remake."

Let's get something new, guys. We don't have to replay the same damn game over and over and over.

  • Peace walker was the beginning of the end.

Not sure why they decided to neuter CQC.

  • Remaking MG1 and 2 would be practically new.

  • Combat looks like utter ass.

They really didn't care about anything.

  • Every adult behaves like a child at some point.

  • Really? That's one of the most common behaviors among adults.

  • I don't see any glaring issues with ActivityPub that appear to be solved with these alternatives.

The alternatives look like they're not as open, though, so that leads me to believe they only exist to sucker people who don't know any better onto yet another proprietary platform.

  • I've noticed a much higher concentration of conservatives on Blizzard games than most others.

  • Not enough! Clearly

  • Should it fall upon me?

Would reporting fake products even have an effect? It doesn't seem like an effective system right now, considering all the fake products that get to be sold.

  • How come fake products are allowed to be sold in the US then?

  • I agree, and hopefully this will help put things into perspective.

Theory is not a substitute for experience.
