  • I tried to get it working with calibra office, but gave up 🙈and do agree that it is one of the more difficult programs to setup on a server.

  • Fantastic game 🥰

  • Good blog post - He's a smart one :)

  • The way I understood the question, the downvotes could be interpreted: 1. iPhones are not high quality, or 2. They are worth the price. I think they actually are high quality (own numerous devices over several years, and only experienced defect once), so guess the downvotes are because people really think they are worth the outrageous price 😅 .. I don't

  • iPhone

  • Yes :)

  • Headscale is great! Netbird is easier, but their client for ios is soo battery hungry (at least the last time I tried).

  • When I started my Linux journey a couple of years ago, I tried lots of distros and experienced some of the same frustrations. The distro that hooked me and just worked was Pop! OS. It was very user friendly, didn't require any fiddling, it just worked. Later I wanted a more up-to-date system, and after trying several distros I settled with Fedora.

Other thoughts: ...be sure to install Timeshift (system rollback app). ...my experience is that gnome desktop is easier, cleaner, less tweaking and less overwhelming than kde.

  • Looks really nice :)

    Huh, what rules?

  • Personally fed up with the greedy streaming companies. Price hikes, movies and series disappearing, lower quality because you don't pay for the premium deluxe 2.0 subscription, and the most annoying of all: advertisements, even though you do pay $$ for premium deluxe ultra 3.0 pro max subscription.

Selfhost 🙌🏻😊- music is always available, same with movies. Perfect!

...well, almost perfect. It really is quite expensive, but also very fun and rewarding getting it to work.

  • such a good game :)

  • No.

    TrueCrypt, what really happened?

  • Coffee, kiwi and hamp seeds.

  • Nice guide, thank you!

  • Next one is the derp server… but that may be out of reach with my knowledge 😅

  • Thanks. enabled the acme service thingy in the config file. Took me some tries before I understood I had to add port 80:80 from the docker yaml in order for headscale to setup the certificate. I guess I need to keep forwarding both 8080 for Headscale and 80 for certificate renewal.

should I, or is there a reason, to setup fail2ban too?

  • Selfhosted @lemmy.world

    Headscale

  • yes

  • I think perhaps something like a Grey Council from Babylon5 would be nice.
