I was told all the engineering actually gets done by the contractors in China. The engineers just send a wish list and the China team hacks it together.
iRobot not going to make it. 4 engineers can’t innovate just like that.

Chinese manufacturers cloned Roomba so well that parts from their robot like wheels assemblies could be dropped in and the Roomba would work.
The issue is that iRobot decided not to litigate patent infringement in China because it’s an uphill battle.
I agree that iRobot was very slow to innovate. They were on the brink of releasing a lawn mower robot but covid hit and the C suites made the decision to kill that product and fire that team to reduce risk…
Yeah but if you lose to a boss you have to start from the beginning again. I am not very good at rogue lites, I’m slow to learn how bosses work, and I wish there was a way to save before a boss so I could try multiple times with the same build.

The USSR was not run by the workers, that was propaganda. It was run top down by the communist party apparatus, specifically the politburo, of whom most were from the intelligentsia, not workers nor peasants.
There was no dictatorship of the proletariat. Trotsky prevented labor unions from going on strike. War communism was forcing workers to labor as slaves. The new economic policy sent managers bourgeois back to run the factories.
It was a top down dictatorship. Not a bottom up dictatorship of the proletariat. It was supposed to be all the power to the soviets. The soviets ended up being a tool for the politburo.
Exactly. This is why people say race is a construct.
If we all became the same race then some self labeled ingroup would construct (i.e. create) new criteria to label others as an outgroup eventually creating new races.
