  • Because owning music and paying once, is way better than paying every month and listening to the same popular tracks again and again.

    Yes I know, Spotify has tons of tracks available, still, I like to go through my CDs and play it right away, no internet needed, no ads, no algorithms.

  • I'm not gonna lie, I visit Reddit too, but without an account and in private, for 3 and only communities. Most of my time is Lemmy. You can start slowly like I do. People use to complain about dead niche communities here, but no one contributes like some users do every day here. Be the change and help communities grow, so you don't have to go back to Reddit.

  • I use RSS for sports and tech news, and read once per day for couple minutes headlines. For Lemmy and mastodon, I had to block communities and words because too much USA news.

    It's just a community in the end, we should leave politics aside on this IMO.
