  • I think you're right that the anger is misguided. I also think it stems from trauma, but that's just me. It's like the old saying "hurt people hurt people" and right-wingers are a bunch of repressed, hurt people.

  • Honestly, I've been trying hard to practice self-care, so I believe in loving and being kind to yourself. Im also very left leaning, close to socialist/anarchist ideals/beliefs.

  • I used to hang out on toefur, a straight edge forum (I was straight edge for the majority of my life, not anymore though) It wasn't a bad site to be on, but it had its moments. I learned the phrase fuckdammit there.

  • Maybe it's just my way of thinking, but if someone says "you can't do that" I usually stop doing that and shut down, because it's not allowed. I have autism, so that my play a role in it, but my go to response is to just shut down usually and stop doing that thing or avoid it all together.

  • I've thought about being compassionate with these people, but the moment you get called a jewish slur or the n word, all compassion kinda goes out the window.

  • Not a troll, but ok

  • Redditor for redditor

  • I didn't wait long enough before posting in a subreddit.

  • To my knowledge, on The Convo Couch, they treated the guest with respect and as an informed source on the topic.

  • Yes. I'm also worried they're getting fed dogwhistles or right-wing talking points from these people. Danny Haiphong used to be a journalist for Black Agenda Report which is very very left/socialist, and now he's having alt-right content creators on. Although, to be fair, he was a correspondent with Jimmy Dore, so he was already questionable.

  • On The Convo Couch, they brought on a guy that's a covid misinformation pusher, but they brought him on to talk about the Palestinian genocide and the lies Israel is saying. Danny Haiphong has brought on an alt-right channel/magazine called The Duran to talk about Russia, and also Israel.

  • Not at all what I was saying, but okay.

  • I'm guessing they think the guest has a better analysis than the media and isn't endorsed by corporate backing.

  • I've never watched Real Time with Bill Maher. I was thinking more along the lines of if Democracy Now had Andrew Tate on to talk about the dangers of human trafficking. Questionable as in they are a covid denier or anti-trans views.

  • The long term is what I'm slightly concerned about.

  • Yes, that's makes sense. When I get really happy or excited I'll stim. When I drank the cordyceps tea, it was similar to being high, but my body and mind were calmer. Same effect with Tulsi tea. I know Tulsi tea has linalool in it. which is also in Marijuana. When I drink Tulsi or Cordyceps tea, it feels like my vision and brain are in a bubble, or I'm looking through a fishy eye lens if that makes sense. What I'm hoping, is that adaptogens just block certain receptors and aren't really changing the brain at all.

  • Any lists?

  • Okay, so I did 3 rounds of the method. Then, I did buteyko breathing. I worked out, did my yoga and tai chi. I'm the calmest I've been in a long time. It could be from the tea mix I had, though. I haven't had any paranoia at all. I drank a hibiscus tea mix, and hibiscus really helps with my paranoia/anxiety so that could be why I'm calm. I kinda want to try the method before bed, with buteyko afterwards, but it could be a gamble.

  • Apparently, Wim can influence his autonomic nervous system at will, or so he says. I think I know the real reason. Hear me out, when I do buteyko, it releases nitric oxide, which widens your blood vessels, and thickens the blood. Thicker blood means warmer body temperature. I could be way off, though.
