  • One would think, that if these sites and anywhere that applies Captcha at all, that if there were puzzles to solve to tell the difference between Bot or Human. That a human would have a likely chance to mess it up, whereas a Bot or AI are designed to do things flawlessly.

I bet the creator of Captcha didn't have the thought process to think about that.

  • That's sounding like a feasible option. I've thrown myself back into Lemmy itself because I can't take the constant breaking of Kbin and seeing so much potential just trashed about in instances like this.

  • Curious, I checked out Chris Dodd and wonder what he's up to. He's a close advisor now to Biden so I'd imagine he's whispering in Biden's ear and whoever will listen, about how much of piracy is 'bad for ya'. In case anyone forgot, Chris Dodd was a major asshole during his 6 year stint (2011 - 2017) with MPAA and he ultimately failed in stopping piracy.

I don't think this latest tactic will work. Congress couldn't even understand Facebook and they couldn't even hold Mark Zuckerberg of all people, accountable for his shit. Congress, MPAA and all the forces in the world couldn't stop Kim Dotcom. MPAA, ACE and whatever, still cannot shut down The Pirate Bay.

They'll just keep bashing their heads on the brick wall. The only victories they've gotten in all of the 20+ year decade war on piracy, is that most times, the sites go down because of lack of funding and support. They only take down big sites because they've found weak links or they've found those run-a-mouth pirates who've gotta go around talking shit about pirating to the point where they're a liability then wonder why their favorite service/site is shut down.

    1. The not too old to be classified old and not too young to be classified as such either. It feels right to me.
  • The only thing stopping this piece of shit now is death. He'll never see jail. He'll never stop trying to achieve his ultimate dictating fantasies. People can sound tough to him all they like but the fucker seems to slime his way through somehow.

And the media is too dumb and careless that the reason he's even getting somewhat stronger in some fields is cause they keep feeding attention.

  • No joke. They're the kind of people that have to over-dramatize every damn thing and have explosive reactions to anything.

Like calm the fuck down, you're not in an anime show.

  • Nope. Just the over-indulging fans.

I don't identify myself as an Otaku and I'm not going to.

  • No disrespect to Toriyama-san, but this was Dragonball Z to a tee.

"THIS ENEMY IS THE STRONGEST EVER! GOKU ACHIEVES HIS STRONGEST FORM!"

"NO! WAIT! THIS ENEMY OUT OF NO WHERE IS SUDDENLY THE STRONGEST AND GOKU'S FORM IS 1,000X STRONGER!"

Shounen anime is just junkfood anime, like Bleach. It's got lots of filler, the main guy gets a hundred forms, all stronger than the last, they'll pull some bullshit out of their ass to win the day and give people lots of 'GOTCHA' moments. And a lot of the characters are rule-34 prone.

  • Does the word or context confuse you? Come on, think.

  • It's pretty true.

The only reason companies are as rich as they are, is because we keep choosing to fund them by buying things.

  • Color me surprised.

I loathe that platforms treat themselves this way. We see this happen over and over again when a newcomer comes into the field to shake things up. They become, eventually, the best alternative. They eventually become the only thing.

And all that they turn out to be, are just portfolio fluffing projects to be made into an IPO. Then the enshittification and oh, there is next to no where to go.

    What a world...

Can KBin not like, freak out at any turn when surfing on it?

  • Or moderators.

Like, how discouraging must it be for them, to learn now that the CEO made $193 million while they do all of the work and maintaining for free?

But we'll figure out the shills though in time, the ones who'll stay. The ones who'll find it rewarding to be corrupt pieces of shit.

  • Because it has no business model, lol. What with shitty looking avatars and the community shitting on eachother and themselves by the hour? What business model? lol

  • The same people who popularized fucking their cousins, of course.

  • No because this was probably part of their plan to corrode the world.

  • I'll just assume the article had nothing worthwhile to read. Thanks for sparing my time!

  • I'm starting to see some drinks and packages of food even have calories varied. For example, I'll buy a monster java drink of the irish blend flavor. One can will be 190 and another can will be 180. They'll both have the same nutrients.

We are seriously now beginning to slip in keeping this shit consistent and it worries me.

  • There was a resounding chorus of "DUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" that echoed across the land as Netflix discovers this reality.

  • Probably now, I guess.

  • Buddy, go bitch at the author who wrote the article that plastered all over what we're responding about.

And my point still stands - they CAN'T prove that those IP addresses would be from frontier. It's a huge whack a mole game they're getting themselves into.
