  • Your story resonated with me and shared many pieces of my experience. I broke my left collarbone, its a good thing I'm a righty. I fell off my bike close to home so I chained it to a tree and walked up a massive hill cradling my arm, I screamed as I pulled off my shirt and hopped in a bath and decided it would be a tmr issue. I removed up without much pain, my body was probably processing the trauma still. I called my sister and she could hear me grating my teeth through the phone and she drove me to the medical center (which in America is the cheap alternative to ER). They sent me to the ER after - trigger warning -

    Violently throwing up

. There weren't any orthopedic surgeons working on the weekend (what the hell). So on Monday morning I made 10-15 calls trying to find a doctor that was less expensive and "in network". He took me two days later and did xrays and said the bone was displaced enough they could do surgery but he was being lazy and said I could let it heal by itself. I good to hear you recovered well! I've been applying to places for a cook position for abt two months before the incident. I like cooking and can't cook for myself fully right now so my job hunt is on pause. I ran out of savings so I had to ask my estranged parents for some money while I'm recovering.

  • I found a site called diskprices.com and found reasonable priced per tb value hard drives

  • Hey thank you for your comment! I was treated really well by staff and doctors during my visit, no hate on the medical profession. The nurse who was assigned to my room even encouraged me to look into a healthcare professional after I told her I was unemployed. Thank you for your service! Healthcare is not an easy profession especially since covid hit the US. But fuck private insurance that shit can implode for all I care

  • Oh? I've never heard of this. I see there git page here and I installed it easy on my android phone and the add-on torrentio. It there a like docker image or can I host this. I used my server to provide streams to friends and family but this seems to all in one solution I could forward them the link and have a set up guide on my domain now.

  • Thanks, I'm trying :')

  • An average draft goes for $7-11 dollars in my city. And the $11 drafts are served in a smaller chalice than the cheaper stuff. I usually buy a 12 pack of beer for $24 from the store and get drunk at home when I can afford it.

  • You guys are only working 8hrs? What a life to have. The company I use to work for extended their store hours in 6pm so 8-6 was typical with no overtime pay. Woww saying this out loud really makes me want to unionize.

  • IRS agent, I had a clipboard and a plaid jacket. I looked the other way for an extra piece of candy. I came home with stuffed pillow case full sweets and a pencil, fuck those guys.

  • If I want to look at files in a directory I use ls and thats it

  • This is why I'm on Lemmy. You guys get me

  • I'm just thinking abt the environmental impacts in the local area if there are guerrilla attacks on oil rigs. It could damage ecosystems like the oil spill that happened 10-20 years ago

  • Yeah I use jellyseerr with jellyfin and they work great together

  • This and not this at the same time.

Definitely don't go so far that you only use drugs and alcohol to cope. Speaking from experience the pain and anxiety just grows and festers unfortunately. I took up weed as a vice to keep these exact thoughts from plaguing my existence: "How could the people who taught me empathy and love believe that CEOs are the minority; and victims of the greedy poor while they're sitting on stacks of money."

It doesn't make sense how their logic got so twisted... but then it does.

Like my parents would confiscate my phone and my laptop and comb through my texts and search history to dig for proof I was sinning behind their backs (Key logger gang wya?) ≈ Similarly, the Patriot Act passed 2 years after I was born it robbed individuals of their freedom to online privacy.

Seems like my parents were actually the deep state all along (and my dependence on weed is justified imo)

My parents are happy I got a divorce from my husband because we are two men and their bible says thats a sin (we had other problems like he cheated on me)

  • Have you heard of weed?

  • Yeah but then there's still no buy in from friends and family. They are most likely going to retort "Well none of my friends use it". We could have open source social media in 2020s but people don't want to use something they don't know. Meta is comfortable for them and they are OK with being tracked and monitored by Meta intelligence, its stupid that they rather live like that but only they can change their minds

  • Mood...

  • Idk I'm 50/50 in this one. I feel the production of video can have negative effects on being present in the moment and enjoying things while they happen instead of looking back nostalgically
