I did the same. I talked with my primary care doctor first and was put on a 6 months wait list for the endocrinologist. While waiting, I made an appointment with PP for about 2 months out (ours are booked far in advance unless it's urgent like an abortion or STI testing) but got it within a few days of meeting with the PP doctor. Transferred to my Endo once they were available.
Oh yes, the guy who can't even take 5 minutes to vote is totally devoting his free time to making things better. Do you think any of the other shit you talked about will be easier under Trump than Harris? You are choosing to let things get worse for the people you claim to care about just so you can feel morally superior by not "participating". News flash, choosing to not vote is still a choice with consequences for the people you are virtue signalling about. Choosing not to pull the lever doesn't make you not morally responsible for the people who chose not to save.
You think it's impossible to make a difference by voting and also by doing other things. I think voting to keep things from getting worse is the bare fucking minimum. If you can't even take a few minutes out of one day to mark a sheet of paper to keep things from getting worse I don't believe for a second are you doing anything to make things better.
Of course! And if you don't pick, no one at all gets hurt or affected by that choice in any way! It totally only affects you! It's not like you have a moral obligation to not actively make the lives of others worse, right? It's not like choosing to not vote is also a choice that requires moral justification! Refusing to act is totally different morally than acting in a way that harms others! I can't wait to feel so right when I watch the news of the military camps and the anti-trans lynch mobs! Sure, I mean I didn't take 5 fucking minutes out of one day every 4 years to mark an X on a sheet of paper that could have prevented that from happening to them, but it's not like I had any power to do anything about it, right? ... Right?
Of course! And the way we do that is let the fascists win! It all makes sense now! We just have to let enough of our trans homies die and let Trump use the military to round up millions of people and put them in camps first! It's the blood sacrifice we need in order to usher in the (insert political system most Americans don't understand in the slightest and have negative views toward that will totally improve if we are instrumental in letting Hitler 2.0 win) revolution! It's just a good thing I am privileged enough to not have to be one of those rounded up in camps or lynched in the streets or die during the civil war / revolution! Why doesn't anyone else see it? We just have to deliberately let enough people die first in order for the politics-fairies to grant me the exact system I imagine!
/S
I'd love to see what your suggestion is for "working to disempower and destroy" the systems exactly while letting fascists take power. It's not like we could ever do both, right? We could never vote to keep things from actively getting worse and also advocate for a better world, right? It's not like the Dems would move right if they lost this time like they have done every single time before, right?
I'd pick the one that polls the highest against Trump whether I like them or not. That was the only reason I was supporting Biden in the past. If I could go back in time and do a real primary and pick someone based on who would run the country the best it could be a million people (Bernie, AOC, Buttigieg, etc), but the thing that matters to me most is who stands the best chance against Trump. A milquetoast do-nothing dem is a mile ahead of Trump 2.0 + P2025.
Also, I'm gonna say it, I'd love to vote for a gay man. I'd love to see the GOP desperately try to bite their tongue knowing that the overwhelming majority of Americans wouldn't support them saying "don't vote for the f*****" which we all know they'd want to say so damn hard. You know they'd end up slipping up and showing their true colors which could help turn people away.
Was a computer repair tech until a few months ago. About 6 months ago this older guy brought in his laptop because he had been hacked and they had changed his password. Was able to change the password to something new using some fancy tools but upon getting in all his files were still missing. Turns out OneDrive was on and ALL of his important files were only on OneDrive and not the computer. Well, Microsoft had changed his password when the hackers changed his computer password so he was locked out and Microsoft didn't believe he owned the account anymore since he didn't know the password. After weeks of calls he just gave up trying to get his stuff back.
I kinda thought you might put it together, but ok. Yes, those were rhetorical and obvious.
Police are responsible for police culture so pointing to culture doesn't absolve them or change any of the math here. Same with the laws, they may not directly make them or have a say in them (unless you count police unions), but they can choose when to enforce them, when to not, and against whom. Again, your arguments aren't changing any of the math here.
The problems of police are caused by the police and sustained by the police so they are entirely the fault of the police. Your comment seemed to imply that at least some of the blame should be taken from the police since it's not them it's the culture and the laws. I'm saying, it's still all them. The culture and the laws are still on them.
I, for one, am shocked, shocked that defenders of Russia are still using the same easily disproven lies to justify invading, occupying, and murdering a neighboring country.
It's not like Russia has a history of lying about its military operations in Ukraine or anything, right?
God the fucking privilege on display in these anti-Biden posts.
"I shouldn't have to vote for the lesser of two evils, I should get to vote for a candidate that 100% aligns with my desires. Who gives a shit about what will happen to the people around me and the people I'm virtue signaling about, all that matters is the feeling of clean-hands I'll have as my trans homies are marched off to the death camps or the Palestinians are eradicated. For I, the enlightened leftist, didn't vote for Biden."
For every reason you have to dislike Biden, you have an even larger reason to fear Trump. Want to support LGBTQ folks? Surely Trump will be better for them right? Want to support women's rights? Surely the guy who put three anti-abortion judges on the court will give us abortion back, right? Want to support Palestine? Surely Trump will put BB in his place and stop the genocide, right? Are you really willing to risk that for those groups just so you can feel superior? Just so you can hope to get a shit party to the 5% threshold and have them still fall on their face the next election?
If you feel comfortable enough voting third party or not voting it's because you have the privilege to be mildly inconvenienced for 4 years and be ok, unlike the groups you claim to be supporting with your protest vote.
Because that totally worked in 2026 right? They obviously just need to lose to Trump and they will suddenly realize the error of their ways and become a full leftist party overnight. All we need to do to save America from the evil DNC is let Trump win again! It makes perfect sense!
Unless you do the online command so it pulls the most recent wim and does it on its own. I've got a batch file I use to fix computers at work that does the online dism followed by sfc and have had a few successes with it.
If you say so. Basic b&w laser from brother is $130 and the wifi model is $160. The entry level Eco-Tank is like $250 when not on sale. Laser is only expensive if you need extra features (document feeder, duplex scanning, multiple trays) or color.
They've got their own issues (at least the first few gens had an ink sponge that would become full and was not replaceable at all so you had to throw it out and buy a new one), they are definitely better than any HP inkjet, especially the "instant ink" ones. The best option, especially if you can avoid color prints, is a b&w Brother (or similar) laser printer. They are built like tanks.
You really wouldn't understand why some Ukrainians would support a party that calls for the death of all Russians? You really can't see why Afghans supported the Taliban during the American occupation? I'm not asking if it's right for them to do so, or if it's right for people to support those that do, in asking if you can understand why they'd feel that way.
What are your thoughts about the Haitian slave revolt?
Hamas' stated goal is a product of Israeli actions. Terrorist groups calling for the destruction of another country don't tend to form in stable, prosperous, and free countries.
Not to mention that Israel has been actively stealing Palestinian land for decades and recently argued to the UN that all of Palestine was a part of Israel. They aren't exactly respecting the border either. They are also seen as an existential threat to the Palestinians.
Israel doesn't see a two state solution as an option either. They either want full control over Palestine or a puppet state that they have almost total control over. No real Arab state would be allowed by them and they've made that clear.
Nothing good will happen until tensions deescalate, which can't happen until Israel backs down from their occupation and oppression. You won't stop making new terrorists until they are treated as people.
